I know this is a little different than most stuff on here, but hey, it's definitely a craft! My wife loved this rose and that's what made it all worth it. This picture doesn't really show off the petals on the inside, but maybe you can make them out? [IMG]

Good luck in all you do!

    Stay

Thank you! I have only posted a couple of other things. One was a ring, and the other was a coaster type thing. They are in my gallery if you want to check them out.

I love wood work. Your craft is beautiful. I bet your wife loved it. Please post more. I would love to see the other things you make.

Oh that's so beautiful! Making something yourself is so heartfelt. I know when my hubby has made me gifts that it really touches me even moreso than a storebought gift, because it really comes from the heart, and he put his time and love into it.

    Great job alabamagetaway!

It's hard to find time to work on this stuff. I have so many ideas and not enought time. Thanks for all the kind words! It is hard to make this stuff with the tools I have, and to hear people dig it is awesome. My wife always finds four leaf clovers everytime she looks down, and I am in the act of making her one out of wood also. I'll post it as soon as I'm done. I guess I should post a pic of the mushroom I made (even though, don't laugh, it started out as an elephant!)

surely if i can, so can anyone else! All it takes is some wood (all I use is wood that is already downed), a hand saw, dremel tool, and sandpaper. I have to use other peoples big tools though, they're way expensive .Give it a whirl and see what happens!

That's such a lovely idea for a gift, so original. And obviously extra special because you made it yourself!
