I read a post here by somebody agreeing with the philosophy of Charlie Manson. I nearly puked-Those of us that were around then know what this con man was all about-He was not trying to send a message to the world about the war or racial decrimanation or even live and let live-None of this was ever part of the Manson plan-His idea of utopia was too take runaway girls and others that were for the most part homeless; and get them real high on acid then take over their will-Crazy Charlie was a long time con man and spent 80% of his life behind bars-His mother was a hooker and he was beaten a few times-So-when released he moves into the mellowest place on Earth at the time; the Haight Ashbury and starts his con game to recruit new young impressionable kids-This is the oldest trick in the book-Hitler did the same thing-By making the government and society the evil enemy he was able to put together a rag tag group of followers-He was very racist and hated women-He was a lousy guitar player who thought he should "make it" in the music business-He had no talent or chrisma; just plain old bs!-and when people are young and in a acid induced dream state-(as I was)-it ain;t to hard to talk people into doing things-He was a very evil/ bad ' murderous scum bag-plain and simple-so-for any of you young people who read or hear about this guy-just know him and his crew killed and hurt many people and they thought of noone but themselves-Please don't put his name in any kind of positive light-he was a destroyer not someone to look up to-

Such opportunists invaded the "hippie" community in several aspects - drug sales, culture vultures, etc. Suddenly I had reason to start observing the behavior of fellow longhairs rather than automatically trusting them.

 

You got it right Motown--He was the first longhaired hippie to do such a rotten thing-He invaded San Francisco straight from the joint-Like a fox in a hen house-He had easy pickins cuz we all had our trust for others way up and our gaurds were down; which was so nice for a change-Until Manson came along 'it was real safe to walk around San Francisco at night-After that most people did not trust us anymore-Thanks Charlie-you murderin scum bag-there were alot of phony baloney guru types around then -They were tryin to put together clans and groups with them as the leader-I saw it many times-I lived on a Northern Cal commune for a year and these fake spiritual leaders came through all the time looking for new recruits-especially the women-I used to laugh at people that followed these guys-Like up here we had the Baugwan Shree Rashnis-I know the spelling is a mess-o well-Anyway he had a lot of land in Eastern Oregon-Everybody dressed in red and he drove around the property in his fleet of Rolds Royces while all his followers lived in plain buildings and worked in the fields all day-They thought he was God-but he was a fraud-and when he left town all the people around stood up and began to applaud!-He went back to India with the FBI on his tail -his group had put poison in the salad bar of a local restruant-they were busted-They had planned on taking over the local government-they failed-good-then there was Jim Jones-Remember him?-Sad-In my 56 years of living and learning; I have never met anyone with any more spirtual knowledge or connection to God then myself-This means I love and believe in God but I don't need a middle man to pray or get me closer to Him-I don't think anyone does-He hears all of us-not just a choosen few-Don't follow leaders and watch the parking meters-

I met Manson in Golden Gate Park the day I first took acid in the summer of 1967. This was before he was notorious, but I sensed the evil vibes just flowing from him. I was repelled, but, then, I'm psychic.

Sometime last year I was surfing the web and came across a message board, deep in the whole Ted Bundy thing.

One girl (woman?) was angry because all everyone wanted to do was discuss Bundy’s crimes. She didn’t give a shit about that – she wanted to know how romantic he was!

Actually you are kinda doing the same thing but in an opposite way. You are exagerating various so-called evil persons to make them look ever more evil then they actually are. To truly understand and learn from events that take place, the truth needs to be found. Not by making them look better or worse. Making things pure good or evil is nonsense cause no one is all good or all evil.

Although what you said is basically true, but he actually was moderately talented (by the words of record producer Terry Melcher). The Beach Boys recorded one of Charles Mansons songs. Since they recorded it before the murders they were not trying to cash in on him or make him look cool. They recorded it because it was a good song.

Manson didn't think he was a hippy. He was in his thirties in the late 60's, all the hippies were like kids to him. He was in a similar situtation with some of them, he was homeless and liked to get high. His cult wasn't the first or the last to go bad. It existed for a couple years without any major indicents. Look at the Aum Shinrikyo sect in Japan or Jim Jones or Heaven Gate. Jim Jones is way worse then Charles Manson, 914+ dead because of him.

Hitler was not a woman hater, he had a long time mistress and was married briefly before his death.

Bundy is a true scumbag. Manson, at least, never killed anybody, himself. Manson loved women, in general, and tried to have sex with as many as possible. The murders may in part have been revenge for his failure in the music business. The Tate/Polamsky house is where Terry Melcher used to live, etc. The media may have blown up the Helter Skelter thing to make the murders look even crazier.

 

Don't you think that you are "exagerating a so-called evil person to make him look ever more evil then he actually was"? And I'm sure that Bundy was equally interested in "having sex with as many as possible". No?

 

I just mainly stating facts. There is no argument that Bundy killed at least 30 women and raped/tortured some of them. I think its fair to say that this qualifies him for being a scumbag. On the other hand, Manson never raped anyone. Manson didn't personally kill anybody. Most of his life, he was a petty criminal. His cult went bad as many other cults have. (see above)

My point was that Bundy was more interested in killing women then having sex with them. Manson had a cult, where the majority were women and he didn't kill any of them.

I not saying I agree with Manson but as to why, especially males, might agree with him would probably be the fantasy of having a group of women worship him and having drug fueled orgies with them. I wondering how many guys that doesn't sound good to?

 

I think Bundy was equally keen on "getting off" as he was in killing. It is questionable whether or not he raped them first - or after. He may even had consential sex before killing them, but I doubt that.

 

DD-I don't know if you were old enough to actually have lived through that period or not; so I will have to assume you did-Manson was a control freak-He did murder people-yes-with his own hands-they dug up bodies at the Spawn Ranch after they busted that asshole-He was hiding under the sink in the kitchen when the cops came in-he threw his followers under the bus so to speak-he denied doing anything-his women with the swastica headtags went down and he let em go-never stood up for them -only for himself-they said along with Tex Watson that it was Charlies plan and it was!-At the LaBianca slaughter it was Charlie who first went in to their home in the Hollywood hills -tied them up at gun point then came back to the car and sent in his angels of death to stab and shoot them like dogs-These people ; just like Sharon Tate and her people were murdered under the orders of one person-Manson-Hitler had alot of people murdered also-does this mean he is innocent?-Of course not-Manson was and is a loser and like I said he was a women hater from childhood-his mother was a prostitute and brought many men in and out and this alone sets a mental picture in the head of any kid-Sharon Tate was 8 months pregnant when they stabbed her many times-why?-Manson though he had talent-He was able to bullshit with the use of acid and free sex; the drummer of the Beach Boys -he ; Dennis Wilson at first; thought Manson was a good guy-so he helped them some with recording-but like any snake or wolf; eventually the drug wears off and you get a good look at the soul of a person and you see what you missed at first-This is why it is so important to really check out anyone you meet or think is some great leader or someone to follow-Manson was a con man-So was Hitler-jim Jones-and many more-the only people that should be upset by me saying this is people that are con men or women them selves-are you believable?-Many Catholic priests I put in the same bag-there is a special place in hell for these false prophets!-Right there next to the pedophiles and women beaters-If you do not like what I say about Manson then read his story at the library---Up here we have had the Green River Killer-Bundy and many more-We used to hitchhike up and down I-5 from Canada to L.A then back to the bay-in the 60s-you'd never make it today-So-I am done talking about that asshole Manson-may he rot in hell!

 

It has never been proven in court of law that Manson physically murder anyone with his own hands.

Adolf Hitler and Jim Jones were not con-men because they really believed in what they preached and both died for their beliefs. This doesn't make them any less wrong in what they did. Manson on the other hand is alive and well in jail.

I really don't think Manson hated women. His (cult) family was mostly women. Of course he did do mindgames/cons and all that to keep them with him and probably objectified them for pleasurable pursuits but there isn't evidence to suggest that he hated women.

 

I remember the Bagwan dude. The U.S. govt finally kicked him out of the country. He had a fleet of about 72 Rolls Royces.
