I will be going to Calgary in the first part of july. I have never been before and was wondering if anyone here was from there. If so, can you tell me some of the cool places to check out, some of the things I should see. I won't have a ton of time for exploring but there will be some. I know I have to go to China town, and the mountains, I might go up a little earlier than needed and go backpacking for a couple of days. I am excited. It will be lots of fun.
Yeah definately check out the mountains, banff, lake louise and the bars on electric ave. I think it's 11th ave ... I'll double check for ya. Medicine Hat is also very nice and Drumheller is cool (like a desert). *I was born in Calgary, not that you care, but I'm an Albertan at heart!
There is only one answer... GOTO Banff... Hwy 1 - stright up to the mountains... Forget everything else.
