I'm doing the 30-hour Famine thing through my school (not any religious organizations involved, thank goodness!), and it's getting tough. It ends tomorrow at 6 PM. I think it's good to put myself in the position of people who aren't eating, and not because they don't feel like it. It sort of helps me see through their eyes a little better. Sure, I'm having a hard time, but I'm learning because of it! Anyway, wish me luck for the rest of the time, and any tips/advice/thoughts/whatever are welcome! Peace, ~Nova
I did that about 3 years ago with my Church. We also raised money and stuff for the starving kids. I didn't find it difficult, but we had a lock in for 24 of those 30 hours (a lock in is where the group stays at the Church overnight). I thought is was a good experiance, just going 30 hours without eating, and I would love to do it again. Like I said, I didn't find it difficult, but we also had a lot of people praying for us. Not to mention, I am pretty good at going extended times without eating. For example, I went over 48 hours without eating one time because I was sick and just didn't feel like it. Good luck!
i did that too. it was easy after the begining. i really dont think its like what other people really go through. we know we can eat again and 30 hours really isnt that long compaired to how long they go.
