Please!!! I need help (((-P)))) I'm writing an essay about "Art Brut" and I will focus on one of its explanation: "The Mental Illness People's Arts." Temp topic: << Mad Arts>> 1.) Explain the connection between art-creativity-madness and it will bring out a message: ""You can make these beautiful arts only when you are insane."" And then I don't know how to go on................. 2.) The psychical level they are within give them power to create such different style of art. They have their own world, no disturb, very personal. But their pictures are so very much alike: full of tiny little things, big heads, small heads, weird creatures, dots, lines, all these fill up the whole paper patiently. 3.) Different patients with similar elements in their arts, short introduction, and explain why would it happened. Do you have any more ideas? Please feel free to give me comments and suggests! Thank you so so so much!!!
its you to write about art brut, im just a artist at work without any comments. Read a book about the history of art, think about art brut and placed it in that time and you'll find the reason why.
A good way to help you connect is thru the history of Pink Floyd a few great sites that really let you see into the mind and effects of mental illness, read the lyrics to alot of their songs. You cant help but grasp the world from his eyes, your able to see both his worlds and his feeling when he knows what is happening. Comfortably Numb (Gilmour, Waters) 6:49 Hello? Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home? Come on, now, I hear you're feeling down. Well I can ease your pain Get you on your feet again. Relax. I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts. Can you show me where it hurts? There is no pain you are receding A distant ship, smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying. When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like two balloons. Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain you would not understand This is not how I am. I have become comfortably numb. O.K. Just a little pinprick. There'll be no more aaaaaaaaah! But you may feel a little sick. Can you stand up? I do believe it's working, good. That'll keep you going through the show Come on it's time to go. There is no pain you are receding A distant ship, smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying. When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown, The dream is gone. I have become comfortably numb This was about what was having to be done to keep Syd even close to sane enough to perform.
