A bit a backround. I have a few tats but all of a sudden one on my back is raised. its 7 years old. Never had a issue. its a rose with a name. The name is done in black and that is what is all of a sudden raised....Could this be a allergy of some sort. No major changes same lotion soap etc, the only thing I could thing of is that I changed my body wash recently, but would that not cause the other tats to raise as well? I am at a loss about this. Over the last few I noticed that it felt like something cought onto my skin in that area or like some one grabed it, not picned but rather placed their hand on it and now it feels raised. Any ideas?

sounds like an allergic reaction to me. I have problems with red inks, but you can be allergic to any color.

Anyway, its not uncommon for people to develop an allergy to a tattoo even if they've had it for a while. Constant exsposure increases the chances of allergies(like beekeepers having bee allergies).

Not a lot to do for it. Try taking an antihistamine or claratin if it really bothers you. I also find that my tattoo raising is seasonal with my allegies and usually only for a day or two. I dunno why.

If an allergy pill doesn't help, you might want to consider seeing a doc.

I'd suggest you talk to a professional.
