confused seemstress, needs help!

So i just got my sewing machine, i got all kinds of groovy fabric, and i'm ready to start making spinner skirts.... problem is i have looked thru so many pattern books and i cant seen to find any cool hippy patterns. Where does everyone get thier patterns for just simple panel drawstring skirts? I also would like to find a pattern to make apron tops! I have no trouble making A-line skirts but when i tryed to make a panal one, it came out a little akward. Please help!

 

There is a great book called Patchwork Expressions by Elise Clark. It covers a bunch of stuff like pannel skirts, a line skirts, pants, apron tops, etc. There are even past together patterns that you can copy in the back of the book that cover size small to x-large.

you could pm me if you like instructions for a basic apron top or dress or a panel skirt. they're quite simple once you get the hang of it.
