    Hi,

I just came back from a 2 month visit to a commune in Costa Rica. It's name is PachaMama. It is a community inspired by Osho, and the spiritual teacher Tyohar. It’s a rare magical place, where true transformation can happen, individually and also collectively, as a group of people living together, meditating and simply enjoying the richness of life. Silence Retreats, therapy and meditation groups, creative workshops, music festivals, cleansing retreats and even football twice a week.

Have a look at their website – www.PachaMama.com.

Naraveet-I have been wanting to go check out Costa Rica for along time-I have alot of info on it and was even thinking of maybe moving there-Did you go to both coasts and are the people still friendly to Americans-despite whats going on?-Were you there during the rainy season and are the prices for things still good?-

i have been to costa rica before ..beautiful country ....the people are beautiful but as with any country you are a guest there ......leave your attitudes at home ........i for one would probably not go to an eco village but to each his own ........prices are cheap and the food is superb .........most meat is free ranging meat .....no additives .......the fruits and vegetables are fresh and the fish is to die for ..guanacaste is hot and arid ......enjoy your stay there is you go ......and if you are wondering about the political climate ,log on to the tico times ..the english language newspaper of costa rica

makes sense-I went on a Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean once and the some of the passengers made me ashamed to be from the same country-they would treat the waiters and service workers like peons-Most of the workers are from other countries and they go home to tell their family and friends how rude and pushy and demanding Americans are-Some people on cruises think they should be treated like royalty and waited on hand and foot-they complain about anything-it made me sick-I heard old ladies from N.Y cussin out a poor waiter-these women have jewerly drippin off em and the waiter makes min. wage and has to put up with way too much crap-and then these same idiots go ashore at all the beautiful Islands and whine and complain about everything-some people are just never satisfied-pityful behavour
