hello all!! I am planning on visiting A'dam in October (Can.Cap. is too busy for me I've heard) and want to know what the weather will be like in October? What should I bring for clothes and what-not. Also, I really want to visit the Vincent Van Gogh Art Gallery while I'm there, anyone have info on this place..prices,lines,etc.? The weather is always a surprise over here. it can snow one day and the next day can be quite warm for the time of the year. I would take at least a winter coat and a sweater with you and a raincoat. If its cold you can use the coat and if its really cold the sweater underneeth and if its warm you can use the sweater for a jacket.I think some thin and some warm sweaters and some t shirts. Vests in stead of sweaters are even better. When its cold you van use the shirt underneeth the vest. If its warm wear it like a t shirt. It can always rain and it can be nice weather too. tell us how long you will be going and i might be able to help you better. For one week to be sure i would go for: 2 or 3 thin sweaters or better, vests 1 warm sweater or vest 5 to 7 shirts. 3 pairs of jeans mabe 1 set of more chic or hip clothing (for going out) comfy shoes which look nice. (in some clubs gym shoes arent allowed) warm coat rain coat underwear socks (might be more than you need, but more is better than too little)
The Vincent Van Gogh Art Gallery cost 9 euro to get in. Simply Amsterdam has a pass if you are planning to do alot of the tourist stuff. the have a 1, 2 1nd 3 days pass where enterance in alot of the sights are free. I can't remember what the 1 and 2 day cost. But the 3 day is 51 euro.
