the only way to understand the universe is to understand its present... reality is always taking place in the present, in the here & now... the present is infinite.. hence the universe is infinite... the past are memories, and the future are pictures or imaginations taking place in the present...

    the present...

    understand the present...

    the present...

    the present...

    is inifinite

To some degree I think the universe dies when the individual dies because obviously when the individual dies, their world, their way of inhabiting the planet no longer exists, thus their indivudual universe has ended.

humm. i believe the universe is more a collection of consciousness... the universe wont stop if you have died... you will just swim in the universe again, but as different matter, different energy... different envelop, or body...

but , in my opinion, the "universe" is always present... our emotions and feelings, or are thoughts are always flowing around, to have a stop to the universe would just be a drastic end to everything...

If the universe ends, either I won't be around or I won't be able to do anything about it.

So I'm not going to worry.

I just think its infinite, if you pick a direction and start going that way, you will never reach the end of the universe because there is no end.

But like badwolf said. You are the universe.

wouldnt it be cool if we were re-incarnated as us on some distant planet way far away with the same memories and what have you

or if this planet was like a personality screening for us to be sorted to what planet we would love most, kind of like heaven

like all the peaceful people on one planet with no laws (you wouldnt need em if everyone was kinds and peaceful) and no wars and disputes

    fuck

im gonna be brain storming on this all day now

    Most excellent observation.

    Who's to say?
Of course your making the rather large assumption that the universe did indeed have a beginning.
