my friend got some liquid cid. he used a dripper and put it on sugar cubes; well i guess there was too much put on, because he had a way too intense trip and had to take some valiums to abort it. so im wondering, when the lsd solution is dropped onto the cube does it somewhat evenly distribute itself when absorbed throughout the cube? or does it like only absorb into the area of contact and maybe a little farther down into the cube? Because I'd like to take half the dose, then wait few hours then take the other half; i was going to do this by splitting the cube in half, like with a blotter, but luckily i gave it some forethought and realized i wont necessarily be halfing the dose by doing this. okay, thanks, and any other ideas are welcome.
depends on how he dropped it on. If i were you, i would soad it in water until it completely dissolves and then drink half of the liquid
it would probably be better to crush it up, mix it and just eat half. Or if you are looking for a shorter trip maybe like 6 hours you could snort it, but then you'd need only 1/4 of a cube
the same way valium aborts the crazy thoughts that people with serious anxiety have. or the way valium aborts muscle spasms. while the effects of lsd arent reversed by valium (i dont think.. i believe you need major sedatives - antipsychotics - for that), the intense impact of experiences, and intensity of hallucinations and the like would be hindered/slowed to comfortable (relatively) level
Yea, valium or any benzo, I've heard reports say it "halts/aborts" the trip, but Im not sure exactly what they mean by that or to what extent. But my friend said it saved his ass, and made him pass out eventually with a little pot, I've never used it in that manner, so I dont know. I know for sure that it being a anti-anxiety medicine would help calm you down. I did take a few vals with some mushrooms once; just for kicks, man that was a pretty pleasant trip.
it means you shut down your concionscness and fall asleep in e deep mental-plant-like state ... if you use psychedelics - use 'm wise, not more than you can handle, at a safe place, with good company ... it's blasfemy to fuck up on psychedelics and take a benzo to get out - i mean - it's not the psychedlic that's fucking you up - it's your own mind - ,ALWAYS! ... that's why they call it PSYCHEdelics ... if you candle handle yourself - go live in your own shadows ... taking benzo's to get out, this should only happen when things go wrong out of your own hands - when you get fcuked for a reason you really didn't have influence on - use your heads poeple - and all will go just fine!
benzos (like alcohol) modulate GABA, the receptors responsible for "off" mode (you know, that 85% of the brain we supposedly don't use, they're there for a reason...controlling traffic..they prevent the firing of the excitatory neurons); when people perceive stress, then take valium, the valium acts on the receptors to release GABA, which in turn binds to the respective receptors, and turn on the red light to slow traffic. GHB or 1,4-butanediol can be used for the same purpose, just make sure it's measured out BEFORE you trip. but I agree, try to ride it out first, unless it becomes absolutely unbearable
You can abort a trip with Valium? That's news to me. How does that work? Valium will not abort a lsd trip. The drug you are thinking of is Thorzine. That is what medics would give to people havin bad trips to bring them down. Valium would help a person relax but not bring them down. Valium does not inhibit visuals in any way, it may actually help people focus on them more. Timothy Leary recommended taking Librium(very similar to Valium) with LSD for people that were slighly nervous. Valium is minor tranquilizer.
any drug that relieves the anxiety is likely to reduce the visuals directly or indirectly. thorazine probably works the best, but valium will certainly bring you down...
FWIU, thorazine isn't even normally used anymore in outpatient bro, benzos are mostly used. Never had a thorazine injection, but supposedly it is traumatizing because it can make you feel like you're dying. Anyone who's ever taken benzo's knows that even remembering wtf went down while on them is difficult, which is part of the reason they are used.. not only do they calm stress, but they make it so you can't really remember the "bad" parts of the trip. Everybody I've met who went to the hospital for tripping related shit was either given a benzo or told to lay down and wait it out, but older dudes i talked to always talk about thorazine injections.
mixing antipsychotics and acid will cause heart failiure. It's well documented. Benzos are the best thing to do to bring down a bad trip. Or (and this will sound strange, but its true) Paxil.
Where have you gotten your information? Because I've read on medical sites that that's not true, antipsychotics are suggested for helping someone deal with a bad trip. From what I understand, giving someone a sedative or similar will not abort the trip, but make them calm down so that they don't hurt themselves or someone else. However, it has been said that doing so will most likely make someone experience both effects at the same time, which can be just as confusing. Vallium doesn't "abort" anything, it adjusts chemical levels in the brain associated with muscle spasms, anxiety, muscle tension due to anxiety, epilepsy, etc.
"Some person have found it useful to take other drugs before the session. A very anxious person, for example, may take 30 to 40 mg of Librium about on hour earlier, to calm and relax himself. Sometimes, with excessively nervous persons, it is advisable to stagger the drug administration: for example, 200 micrograms of LSD may be taken initially, and a "booster" of another 200 micrograms may be taken after the person has become familiar with some of the effects of the psychedelic state." --Tim Leary from "The Psychedic Experience" FYI Librium is vary similar to Valium. Relaxing the mind will help visualizations.
