Genocide in Darfur

    Is anyone else privy to the genocide in Darfur and US's one month UN presidency to take control and try to install peace? What are your thoughts?

    The US already has enough shit on its plate, let the rest of the civilized countries handle it.

    Sudan is just another example of how the world community and the UN continually fall on their face. Sad to say.

    You could contribute money to Darfur, but what you should do is donate to New Orleans, shit is bad down there to. It may not be genocide, but I think if you live in America, you should donate in country before donating out of country.

    i think it is an atrocity an the so called democratic countries,un,should do all that can be done! unfortunatly the powers that be for some reason want this to continue! i am curiuse as to what the benifits to these entities will be? i have no doubt in my my mind that there will be some multinaitional busniess that will proffit from it!

    It can't be that they want it to continue, they just don't care enough to stop it. And this is probably because there IS no profit if a first world nation intervenes. Just like there's no profit in calling North Korea on its nuclear program.

    I wonder how many people are benefitting from selling supplies to the janjaweed (sp?) murderers...?

    you may be right that there is no profit and no careing at the very moment i clicked on the post button i thought to myself that I am apart of they and hung MY head in shame! and then decided to wait to see if even one would call me on it! well so far zzziillccchhhh

    I agree with you there loner i beleive just as a man or individual a country and its pepole should stand and uphold its ideals of witch i am ashamed to say I(becaus i beleive it is my responsability to hold my leaders accountable for our actions)have not done my job and have become complacent! and lost, sorry MISPLACED the the will to expect and hold accountable MYelected officials to carry out OUR will to conduct oursevls in a manner that resembels HUMANITY of witch i would like to be a part !
