Beverly Colleen Stephens-Turner Beverly passed away last Friday. For those of you who didnt know her, she was a very involved Colorado Rainbow. She was a very sweet and kind lady and will be greatly missed by many. Beverly helped many folks passing through and residing in Colorado. She was very involved in helping homeless folks in the Boulder area. For those of you who did know her, Beverly's memorial is tomorrow (Friday) in Lafayette. I copied the following from the Boulder newspaper. March 2, 2006 Oct. 24, 1954 ‹ Feb. 23, 2006 Beverly Colleen Stephens-Turner, of Boulder, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, in Boulder. The cause of death has yet to be determined. She was 51. The daughter of Walter Buford Stephens and Ethel Pauline Seay-Stephens, she was born Oct. 24, 1954, in Dallas. She married Hugh William Turner on Nov. 3, 1975, in Dallas. They divorced. Ms. Stephens-Turner moved to Boulder in 1984. She completed high school and two years of post-secondary education. She belonged to Celebrate Recovery at Flatirons Community Church and to SOS of Boulder. She was "a God-loving woman who experienced peace through God's love and wanted the same for everyone through a relationship with Jesus," her family said. "Mom has moved on to a better place. See John 3:16 for directions." Survivors include three sons, Justin D. Turner, of Denton, Texas, and Johnathan M. Turner and Joshua W. Turner, both of Boulder; two brothers, Patrick Stephens, of Aubrey, Texas, and Shannon Stephens, of Laurel, Miss.; and three sisters, April L. Lawson, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Linda Harrison and Irish A. Rhodes, both of Denison, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael H. Stephens. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Flatirons Community Church, 400 W. South Boulder Road, Lafayette. John Zisch will officiate.
