Yes, Sesame Street has gone downhill if you ask me. It's not anything like it was when we were kids. I noticed a change when my oldest son was around 3 years old. I've been disappointed with it ever since. To me, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of intellectual stimulation on it anymore either. I mean, remember all those cool mini-cartoons they had that actually taught you things? Awesome stuff that they've done away with.
And I remember very well when Mr. Hooper died. Of course, I was a hysterical mess when they did that show explaining about what happened. Death always was, and still is, terrifying to me.
wait are you trying to tell me tha the sesame street people actually explained to the audience what happened to this mr hooper guy and how he died? WTF!!i think about all the kids that scarred for life...
Well, they didn't get real involved if I remember correctly, but they did say he had passed on. Even that was enough to flip me out.
I recall a son skit where a bunch of muppets are rockin out singing "Wet paint Wet paint" with a bunch of paint getting thrown onto a blue screen behind them. I liked how for every three educational pieces they did there was always one that left you scratching your head. I miss Jim Henson.
i liked the aliens hearing a phone ring for the first time...COW! YEP YEP YEP YEP YEP YEP YEP.....NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE! BRRRRRING!RRRRRRRRRING! CALL! YEP YEP YEP YEP YEP YEPYEP.....and so forth. it was a TRIP.
