What is the 10 second rule ?

ok, i was out with my daughter and her friend today and one said to the other you know the 10 second rule.I asked them what it was but they wouldnt tell me.So, does anyone here know?

 

when you drop food on the ground you have 10 seconds to pick it up. if you dont, you break the rule. why is this in love and sex?

 

I always said 5 seconds.... it's more of a challenge. I've never heard it used for anything besides dropped food....

 

I've never heard of it being referred to anything else; except dropping food. Hey ma, give your daughter a little more credit.

 

the only rule I know is the three second rule. if someone in the rotation holds a bong for too long while they talk (it's not a microphone, it's a bong!), someone can call the three second rule, and the person talking the bong to death must take that swat in three seconds or pass it on....

^^I used to do something like that with my friends. Someone would call three seconds, and you'd have to pass the pipe or you would'nt get to smoke the next rotation. Bad Idea! People would litterally throw the pipe. Water would spill and stain shit. Or worse, someone would break it. And to the threadstarter, yeah, it's food. lol, I met a girl who would just eat things off the ground. Gross
