So here it is... Im 17 and I graduate this year ...in June or so. Im sure I dont need to go on about how much of a hype graduating is everywhere, but Im not sure to what extent it is overrated ( the ceremonies and such). Anyways, my mom has offered to put in my hand the equivalent amount of cash that grad would cost should I choose to not go. Its not a MASSIVE amount... maybe 2-3 hundred bone... but it could help alot with the travelling that I am planning on doing after hs. Some say that the graduating experience is priceless, others say it is a waste of time. What should I do?
i dunno, i'm kinda worried too. not that i'm not going to college, but that i dont have a car, and without a car i cant travel, and without travel i'm stuck here, and if i'm stuck here how in the hell can i begin to get more known with music... i should be getting a car by graduation, but if i dont.. meh its nerve-racking. but basically what youre saying is you'd lie to your mother, take her money, and run? sounds like a plan. .
personally i thought graduation day was awesome. heres why. you and your best buddies who've you grown up with and gone to the same school for years finally get to walk up on stage and declare victory on high school.
graduation for me was 36 years ago ..i remember it well and with fondness ,if for nothing else than finally getting out of school ...GO .........as far as traveling,the 2-300 bucks extra is not going to get you very fay ..a bus ride and back is just about it
graduation was awesome. but you gotta make it your own. smoke up with some friends in the bathroom before it begins. i graduated barefoot. its like a big happy party man, you gotta enjoy it
i thought it was a waste of time, Hot and boring, i would of much rather been doing somehting else, but thats my attatude towards most award cerimonies/ shows also
