One time, not so long ago there was a bear. Not just any bear, but a very special bear. A bear that had a lot of great ideas, a very passionate bear, a very kind bear. This bear had big dreams of changing the world. This bear had a lot to say and wanted great things for himself and his fellow bears. One day while in the meadow, bear came across fox. Fox promised bear BIG THINGS. Fox asked bear to come with him, to a place where bear would be famous, where people would listen to bear and his ideas. This intrigued bear, and bear packed up his bag and left with fox. All the other forest animals were sad to see bear go, but happy that bear would begin to live his dream. When bear got there he was very disapointed. "This is it?!", bear wondered? But kind as bear was, he was not going to be negative about things, and went along with fox and his ideas...pushing his own ideas away. This didn't settle too well inside of bear, but he thought, "well surely there will be time for me and my ideas soon." Fox was keeping bear busy with everything and anything except his dreams. Fox fed bear, many, many magic beans. And soon everything seemed a little hazy to bear. Everything seemed somewhat confusing, but very, very groovy. Soon bear was looking forward to the next batch of magic beans. And soon, bear thought of little else. One day, after a night of dancing and eating many magic beans, bear awoke under some very, very bright lights. Everything was loud and bright and confusing. People were all there looking at bear. bear was a bit scared, and really unsure of what to do next. "Is this it?", wondered bear, "Is it finally my chance to share my thoughts and ideas with all of these people?" But just as bear stood up and shook off the haziness, getting ready to speak, fox ran in and shoved a few magic beans at bear. But bear for the first time in a long time wasn't interested in the magic beans, he wanted to talk to these people, to start a change. Fox did not like it when bear refused the magic beans. "Have I not fed you?", fox asked, "Have I not given you bushels of magic beans?... YOU OWE ME BEAR!"...now bear was beginning to get impatient with fox, he reminded fox of the promises he had made him that sunny day in the meadow. fox s face screwed up tight and he got angrier than bear had ever seen before. "Are you not under bright lights? Did these people not travel far & wide to see you? Are they not chanting your name?"... And indeed they were, for under the glaring circus lights the people were screaming..."DANCE BEAR....DANCE"
i love you, caitlin. that's a really messed up moral to tell, though. . "if someone lies to you and feeds you drugs and turns you into a clown, it can be a good thing" that's what i got out of it. haha .
whoa, man, i dun even get what the point of that story is or what it means or whatever but, theres something about it that just spun my head
Aw come on guys, you've got to read between the lines. It means that a) you've got to go make it for YOURSELF.. no matter how great your ideas are, nobody else is gonna make your dreams come true for you, because most people are busy with their own interests, and b) if you rely on drugs for too long, you'll eventually wake up from all of it wondering where the hell you are, with your dreams shattered.
but the bear relied on someone else, he started losing hope in the other (who was tricking him), and before the bear could change his mind his dreams came to him anyway (the peoples were watching him, yes?)
