while I was at work, and her dad was watching her, he had her playing with this toy on the floor where she lays down and kicks it with her feet to make it play music and falsh lights. well, she rolled off it and smacked her face on the side part that touches the floor. Poor little girl poor daddy, too. he felt horrible!
Poor baby. I have seen babies get super excited under those toys that you described. Before I had any kids I might have seen a kid with a black eye and naively thought something like, "How did that happen? Wasn't anyone watching that kid?" NOT ANY MORE!!!!! LOL Now I understand that babies can give themselves black eyes in the blink of an eye and a resourceful and naughty kid can give herself a hideous haircut the first and only time that the sitter tries to take a leak that day. NOW when I see a toddler running out of a store, without even thinking about it, I step in their way and look for the adult running after them. I know which team I'm on.
my little brother was so wild and crazy and plain FAST that he was covered head to toe in one bruise or scratch after another. i swear, we were terrified to take him in public....
Awww, I remember the first time that my daughter had a black eye, it was because she head-butted me in the mouth. I was scared to take her out of the house because I thought people would think that I was abusing her. I had a swollen lip too from what she did, but that just made me think that people would assume that my husband was beating us!!!! Before I had kids, if I ever saw a child with a black eye I always thought that someone was abusing them. It's funny how differently you see things when you have kids.
Oh, and now, my two are covered head to toe in bruises and I couldn't care less what people think. At least I know the truth. My son is so hyperactive that you will never see him without at least 3 bruises on his face.
LOL, Willow, I know! Beofre I might have thought, "Are they hitting that kid?" Now I look at the parents sympatheticly and think, "That kid must really be a handful. They must be so tired."
