salvia vaporization?

    i just thaught of something, what if i lit a candle, put a nice clump of leaves on a piece of aluminum foial and inhaled thoruah a straw... would this work?

    god no,
    the vaporization temp is too high.
    that is why we use a pipe
    when we suck on the pipe, it lowers the air pressure in the confined area of the bowl which lowers the localized boiling point (i.e. vaporization temp) - the candle is not hot enough for this.
    and sucking through a straw does not lower the local air pressure effectively enough, it needs a bowl to work with temperatures as low as a match or regular lighter (- candles throw off too much unburned hydrocarbons to smoke with too).

    using a vaporizer can get you pretty fucked up man. If you do use one of those, HAVE A SITTER PRESENT! A little bit of vapor goes a LONG way. Don't over do it.
