    for the vegetarian lifestyle.

I managed to convince my sister do return to her vegetarianism today...which is always good news. The "noteable" part comes in when I managed to, at the same time, somehow convince my anti-vegetarian uncle to give up red meat for lent.
The occurence of these events then inspired me to take the next step. It they could do it I'm sure I could too. So today I gave up cheese and eggs...and made a big pot of curried lentils to last me the week.
I'm optimistic for the time being but also a bit fearful. I didn't really eat eggs anyways but cheese for me is more than once a day easily.
    Well wish me luck:)
    love tom

    That's great :)

I very rarely eat cheese, once a fornight maybe (even then usually only goats cheese). Have just stopped buying it for myself and found other things to snack on. Will have some if at my parents place or if that's pretty much all that's going but it isn't the centre of my gastronmic universe any more.

The next thing you should focus on is making the transition to going vegan! =)

And that's awesome to hear about your uncle, haha. :D

Thanks guys:) yep.. so far so good lol.

Yea... that is the ultimate goal... and Ive been thinking about how to do it for a little while now. The thing is I still live with the family...and so unless I buy my own food (which im not in a position of doing) then I have to eat what they buy. It really isnt as brutal as I make it sound... however the temptation is always there.

I figured I would accomplish the most if I just take it a little at a time... (eg cheese and eggs now, and maybe in two weeks from now milk/yogourt, and two weeks from then Ill work on softening out the edges).

I'll have to do a little research first though on what really contains what.( pastas, sauces, etc) ...i do hope to stick to that kind of thing..
