    Which version of this song is better, Irma Thomas or the Rolling Stones?

    I think Irma Thomas' version is better, it is much more Gospel and R & B.

    i like both versions but would have to say i like the stones better. i like gospel R&B but theres just a certain soul of rock n roll about the stones that i just love.

    the stones version is better, always is ..even if they do a "cover", the song came into existence with an inspiration to be covered by'em
