Michael Moore shows the temperature where freedom burns! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361596/combined Perhaps the most damaging footage shows Bush on September 11, sitting in a Florida classroom for a full seven minutes after he had been told that the second tower had been struck, and that it was clear the horrific events in New York were a terrorist attack, not a tragic accident. Moore lets this moment go on and on: The president, stone-faced in front of dozens of schoolchildren, doing absolutely nothing, as our nation comes under attack. Hopefully, this scene will take away the "war president" lie. The never-elected punk isn't qualified to referee a cock-fight, much less lead the world in a war against Al Qaeda.
I really enjoyed this movie. I was really surprised that more wasn't said about it on this forum. Was it propaganda, as the rightwingers are desperately claiming? Sure, I guess so. It's purpose was to promote a point of view. That's not what upset them, though. They're the lords of propaganda. What really upset them was that they didn't agree with this and it made them look like idiots. What was beautiful about F9/11 was that it didn't use lies and hype to make George Dubya and his cohorts look like dishonest idiots. It just used footage. Film. Film of real, actual events. I saw it in my little town in Northern California. (The same county that passed Measure H, banning GMOs in our county. So, for a rural place, it's kind of radical.) When I first tried to buy my ticket it was sold out. So I bought one for the next show. I really enjoyed that the audience watched it together, reacted vocally together, hung out outside afterward talking about it. It got people talking about it. Even though I went to the theater alone it was a group experience. Then I was pleased that when the rightwing media had a fit, they just advertised it! Thanks! Now people will go see it if they weren't sure before. Some people criticized it saying that it didn't reveal any new information. Well, like Outfoxed, F9/11 organized and presented the information in a useful way. It got people talking. It made me more aware of some things. With all of the propaganda that is spewed at us daily I am glad that some left-of-center views are being expressed on a large scale. Personally, I plan to support the people who put the work into it and made their lives public to make these films. Just by doing this they're execising and protecting freedom of speech, in my opinion. I think it's great. Did anyone watch jibjab?
JibJab is at www.jibjab.com and is an animated cartoon that makes fun of Kerry and Dubya in a hilarious way. I enjoyed it.
I haven't seen the movie but here is an interesting review. http://www.davekopel.com/Terror/Fiftysix-Deceits-in-Fahrenheit-911.htm
Yeah, if you find right-wing reactionary bullshit interesting. If you actually wanted to read a decent account of the movie, you could read a review by someone with some credibility: http://www.suntimes.com/output/ebert1/cst-ftr-moore24f.html While you're at it, there's a very cool interview between Ebert and Charles Bukowski. I love that dude!
Can you prove your accusation of right-wing reactionary bullshit with cited information?? Where is Moore's cited information?? Or is F911 just left-wing reactionary bullshit??
