It's genetic in my family. When my mum was my age, she weighed exactly the same amount as me. My niece also weighs the same exact amount now as me. I have a very high metabolism and I'm very small-framed. It's just in my genes. I'm a pig! When I go to people's houses for supper, they always give me small portions and I give them a glare saying, "Um... how about a regular portion please?" lol
i find it helpful to smoke my fair share of crack rocks, not only does it speed up my metabolism, but then i can never afford food either.
My resting metabolism rate is 1600. That means just sitting, I burn 1600 calories! That's why I am so thin... Peace & love
If you're gaining no matter what, you might want to get checked out for a thyroid disorder! Just to make sure! PS: Well PM me, Bilby!
uh, i haven't read the other posts. I don't really do anything to stay skinny, i just am. Don't get bent on trying to become incredibly skinny if its not natural for you. Very Skinny = Healthy is a cultural stereotype and a myth. Unless you're dangerously overweight, chill out. Of course I might be being overassumptious.
stay away from anything that says "diet" on it...esp. with artificial sweeteners, even corn syrup (blows ya up like a blimp). if you like soda drink REEDS or anything that uses natural fruit juice sweeteners and raw sugar, which is waaaay better for you than refined sugar. same goes for breads..whole wheats damnit! that bleached flour also got the nutrients bleached out of it. you need the fiber and bread is good for elasticity of your joints! it's a holy food ! atkins died of a heart attack.. repeat stay away from anything that says "diet" it is BAD for you and addicts you. STAY the fuck away from partially hydrogenated oil (shortening/margerine) which is in EVERYthing!! so go organic to make it easy. This hygogenated plague it's in everything! from fast food fries/cheese/breading to most everything in your normal grocery store and beyond. the history of it's addition to the diet of americans is facinating. was origionally invented by a huge coop of turkey growers to fatten up their turkeys for super cheap. only problem is it killed all the turkeys in the process, so they either went bankrupt or did something drastic. finding it contained less fat than butter, they added color to it and pawned it off as diet foods (agian stay away from diet foods!). it is one molecule away from being plastic, and even flies won't go near it. being healthy is a choice, it is a by product of educating yourself. yar what yeat
and i agree with you Layin in a field...seeing super skinny people is highly disturbing, and so are the emotional problems often associated with them. this is a generalization, don't noone go taking offence, i'm just talking basically about the whole push of americans to be a size 2 what the fuck kind of insanity is this? look at the greeks, the decendants of atlantis, they knew what was beautiful, thick, full figured, healthy women!
What A+O said is right on. I went vegan and went from 122 to 107, without even trying. It's all about mindset. If I crave something I know is bad for me I just tell myself that it's not edible. Coz' people, Dorito's are good for you in no kinda way. And Oreo's are just plain poison! ( As yummy as they may be!) After awhile your mindset will change and it'll be way easier and your body will thank you! Having said this I'd also like to say that 107 was really tiny, and everybody has a different shape. No need to be super small to be super healthy!
Hm.. Just a thing, I'm 18, 5'0, and 94 lbs. I just had a baby four months ago. My secret? Hehehhehehhehehe.. eating. Cool huh? More meals during the day- small ones, a lot of water ( a gallon per day ) , and healthy foods, not potato chips.
i lost 33 pounds by being vegetarian and not eating junk food. i think diet soda also helps, even though lots of people say artificial sweetener is horrible. or you could walk/bike to school or work or wherever you go
whoa, iam so staying away from hydrogenated oils! that is so gross, about the turkeys. poor turkeys!! i don't eat them anymore, so that's one less person in the world who supports that sort of thing.... but thanks for the info that is definitely motivation to stay away from things like Oreo's that have hydrogenated oils in them!
I'm 6' 4" and I went vegan a year ago and lost a good 14pounds. I've now been about 195ish for the last few months. Everyones body is different and its all about finding what works for you. I eat a mountain of food each day but its mostly fruit and veg and I run and stuff. If you have a low metabolism then its best to eat as healthy as possible. If your hungry eat 2bananas and an apple instead of a mars bar you know?
hello. you have a very cute avatar. you know i am small boned and used to be very skinny. today ive gained a few pounds but still not chubby. my body has always been like this. and i am always trying to gain weight. i probably has a fast metabolism...but i am also fond of eating fruits and vegetables and i hate fat. and i also love to walk. actually i love to eat but i am thinking of going vegetarian.
Lather was thirty years old today, They took away all of his toys. His mother sent newspaper clippings to him, About his old friends who'd stopped being boys. There was Harwitz E. Green, just turned thirty-three, His leather chair waits at the bank. And Seargent Dow Jones, twenty-seven years old, Commanding his very own tank. But Lather still finds it a nice thing to do, To lie about nude in the sand, Drawing pictures of mountains that look like bumps, And thrashing the air with his hands. But wait, oh Lather's productive you know, He produces the finest of sound, Putting drumsticks on either side of his nose, Snorting the best licks in town, But that's all over... Lather was thirty years old today, And Lather came foam from his tongue. He looked at me eyes wide and plainly said, Is it true that I'm no longer young? And the children call him famous, what the old men call insane, And sometimes he's so nameless, That he hardly knows which game to play... Which words to say... And I should have told him, "No, you're not old." And I should have let him go on...smiling...babywide.
Me not skinny, slender, but not skinny, just like you're plump, but not fat . Genes, high metabolism and very active lifestyle is what keeps me lean, I absolutely pay no attention to my diet, but I should. I eat anything I want and break many a diet rules...never been on a diet. I eat lots, gorge on chocolate, fry everything, cook with real cream, frequently eat out, and am the biggest moocher I know -- which is why I get asked this question alot. But inbetween it all I eat enough of the right foods to meet my RDA, or so i hope. So where do the calories go? Music and dance is my life after 6pm, not tv, not the internet, not even the hipforums (I post fewer than 1 a day ). Plus I rollerblade everywhere, don't have a car, that should explain alot. When you hafta do your groceries with a backpack and on your rollerblades you only have enough room for the essentials... and that does not include a 12-pack of pop.
if you want to speed up your metabolism what you can do is after each meal you eat work out for twenty minutes or more do some cardio or weight lifting change it up each time, and that should speed up your metabolism (at least that is what my doctor said) also just keep doing what your doing eat healthy and drink lots of water you will get to your wieght goal slowly but the healthy way. good luck and have fun.
