Is it good to smoke weed from a bowl (billy) i made?

My friend made a billy ( bowl ) for a bong out of metal but the problem is for the top he took tin foil and poked holes it looks amazing just im worried that its bad to smoke if there is tin foil?

is it bad to smoke weed with the tin foil at the top i remember someone on the forums ehre told me to leave ""tin foil to the crack addicts"

is it ok to smoke on a water bottle bong from his home made bill piece its made outta metal but it doesnt have a bowl so we made it with tin foil is it good or bad?

 

bad if you use it everyday for the next 3 months

im sure it wont hurt you if its just for a watter bottle bong, just dont get used to it

Tinfoil is NOT dangerous to smoke out of if your using a regular butane lighter. I'm trying to find my source for this, will post as soon as I can find it again. There's alot of rumours that smoking aluminum foil can cause alzheimers later in life. Butane lighters are not hot enough to make the aluminum give off any toxic fumes.

edit: it's going to take a little longer then I thought for the orginal source I wanted to use (websites down for a little bit) but anyways, the alzheimers is caused by the vapors released by aluminum. I found the vaporization point but it's in kJ/mol's and I don't know how to convert that to degrees.

Yeah, they're the normal yellowish flame lighters.

You should really consider on going out and buying a stem though. They're like $10 at a headshop and you can easily fit it into a home made bong. Smoking out of tinfoil just plain sucks. There's no health reason not to, but it still sucks.

Just save up some money and get someone who's 18 to go into a headshop for you and get you a pipe

no, tin foil's from tin, aluminum foil is from aluminum. There vaporization points are VERY close to each other and a butane lighters heat is far from it either way. I don't normally bother making a distinction between tin and aluminum foil, they are almost the same thing when it comes to smoking.

 

Thats mostly the problem im 15 , and all the good head shops are down town and my parents wont let me go , but ill prob beg my bro to take me since he saw me cleaning my glass pipe 2 times and figured out i started smoking weed.

i would try to get a friend you trust to buy you a piece. nothing beats a nice glass bowl. if not, making home made pieces are fun. i sometimes use tin foil in mine, and nothing has happened. like someone said, just don't use it all the time.

just buy like a metal bill piece at a head shop. I got my first metal bill for 5 bucks. now i use glass bills though. Ive never been to a head shop that wouldnt sell to me because of age. Ive been to about 5 and none of them have refused me and i deffinately dont look 18.
