Need ideas for a little art project.

I've got to come up with a concept for a calligraphy project. Just like, a word that has some imagery I could incorporate into the large first letter.

Any ideas?

I haven't been very creative lately.

Why don't you do a really colorfull-y background and take a favorite song or poem or short story....or even a story that describes something about you....and write it out in like a spiral or something?
Don't make it plain and blah like everyone else....strive for the creative A+.

I have to represent the word graphically, though. Do ya get what I'm saying?

I write it, and then.. say, if I do "peace" I'd have to take the letter P, make it huge and crazy lookin', and incorporate an image of peace.

 

Oh. I thought you just had to do a calligraphy project....however ya wanted.

What's your mood? That might be a place to start. Choose a word that means the mood you're in.

I'll do "Down by the riverside"

It's a song by Burning Spear.

My D will have branches and stuff coming off it, and around the other letters will be a strip of land with a little river and a sun on the horizon.
