my moccasins*

i was partying the other night and the local band that was playing wanted to take a picture of my boots to put on thier website. I thought that was cool. so here i am standing beside the lead singer, who always plays barefoot.

Hey, those are awesome! I wish I had some cool shoes... I usually am either barefoot of wearing flipflops unless I am at work. But I have less than a week there too.

 

hey! i love your mocs! i have a pair just like them except they're white they're the comfiest boots i've ever owned.

 

i know, man they are like slippers! so comfy, and sexy, and unique. I havnt seen anyone else around here with them either. They're not very warm though, since they're not made with real skin at the bottom, but rubber. Nothing but rubber between my feet and the snow.

It's the same situation over here. They are VERY trendy.

 

I only know one girl with moccasins, and they're not even close to being as cool as yours.

i dont think they're authentic...if you mean handmade. There's rubber on the bottom, not skin. THe fur might be real. It feels real. *shrug*

yes, i gues they ARE mukluks, as moccasins are made of mostly leather and mukluks have alot of fur.

 

hmmm I never saw any real ones with rubber though. Where did you get them? Yeah I meant handmade. Were you wearing a skirt with them?

 

i got them at a store at a local reserve. and yes, i was wearing a black miniskirt with them. it was super fun!

But you look cute, I have some mocks but I never really wear them, they got popular and trendy and I feel stupid. I have two pairs, shoe booties and knee high boots.

These aren't store bought and I make them in different styles...they are made out of deer hides which I have tanned myself....and every pair is different...these are my personal pair...and I made this pair close to 20 years ago so they do last if cared for
