whats up with everyone talking about matisyahu lately? i USED to like....

jk im not that fickle but damn.

 

i saw matisyahu open for O.A.R. before he went mainstream....it was amazing. My boyfriend was like....this will probably be the last time anyone sees matisyahu open up for anybody

 

Yeah, he has been the talk of the world lately.


but he's very talented and has his own style.

 

I love how he is an Hasidic Jew doing religious based reggae(ish) music...definetly something you don't hear about often.
And it's GOOD music as well.

I doubt that even those that are harping on his ability right now will give a shit a year from now.

 

far as i know i haven't heard him yet. but then i hear a lot of things on my favorite little very eclectic indipendent radio station that i don't remember for two seconds who they were, even when i do happen to catch the back announcing which i don't always either. judging only by the name, which i'd never heard, i clicked on this thinking it was probably some sort of japanese animation which i also love. judging from context i'm making an easy guess this is some sort of singer/musician?

obviously i don't have much of a clew either.

or the euphamism "kicking ass" which i find annoying myself.
though i think i understand well enough it's intent.

roughly equivelant to far out, only a lot rougher arround the edges,
like as if being in each others faces was something wonderful and positive.
