I am getting married in September & I was wondering if any of you crafty people might have any ideas for homemade wedding favors???

It will be more meaningful ( I think) to make them myself.

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Tiny little flower pots with a single flower in them. Sometimes you can get little terra cotta pots from Michael's or garden stores for real cheap. Fill them with dirt. Add a marigold seedling, and you have a nice little take home gift for everyone. That is my favorite.:)

You could make polymer clay beads and hemp necklaces... or something like that with glass beads.

maybe make like a postcard type photo thingy-- k i see it in my head let me try and explain. Get a photo of you and your fiance and put it on like a layered construction paper/cardboard (so its not all floppy) and decorate it with colors that match your wedding and maybe put on it 'thank you for sharing our special day with us' , the names, and the date.

my wife and I did an old italian wedding favor thingy... tule wrapped around a small handful of jordan almonds with a tag tied to them with our names and special date. They were a big hit.

one of the women I work with went and collected river rocks, and painted her and her husband's names, and the wedding date, and one the bottom the guests, and thier table number, so they took the place of thier cards, and she said most people saved them. So not only could you save paper, but it's your gift all in one, plus, all you're paying for is paint!

for my wedding I had my flower girl hand out packs of flower seeds to guests, which was campy, and I had decorated little bottles of bubble soap (availale at craft stores and dollar stores) with ribbons and flowers in my wedding colours.

We made dream catchers for everyone. It took a lot of time but I felt like it was much more personal. We also had little bottles of bubbles. The ribbon had our names and wedding date on them.
