i drafted a very lame letter and emailed it to my representatives.
(i'm not very good at this, but i'm pissed off so i did it anyway)

I am extremely upset that the house has voted to remove states rights to warn consumers of dangers and contaminants as they see fit. as a voter this will be foremost on my mind when i cast my ballot, and I wished to express my concern to my representatives. consumers have every right to know exactly what is in the food they buy, and the FDA is traditionally very weak on this issue, which is why I believe the individual states should have the right to label food as they see fit. Thank you for taking time to read my opinion.

yes, i'm still mad about the 'organic' thing.
you know, food labeled organic doesnt have to be organic anymore. further proof that the FDA is not on our side.

Making it easier for big business at the expense of the consumer; labeling requirements should insure that the consumer can make an informed decision.
