ok, i'm just wondering if anyone here has had a conversation with an animal. i want to try.i think i have before..with my dog..i personally believe that she's here to help me along with my life..and become more tuned to nature. i also think there was a spider named pin. but i'm not sure..if it's so he was talking about how humans should become more aware because animals can help. he was saying how every animal has a certain quality with it. and that animals like you to face your fears. they know. and that's about it. i just wanted to know peoples veiw on animal comunication etc. well thanks!

I've been able to communicate through body language with animals. My friends cat is always jumpy and scared until I look him so he sees me and I make a friendly face. Also, animals are mostly fixated on our hands when they see us (because thats whats giving the food and petting them) so communicating your intentions with your hands is also important. I've never experianced a true conversation, like I would with a human, but there is definitly a palpable progression of familiarity when I try to communicate with animals. Most of it I think is just getting out of what you would like the animal to communicate, and just consciously observing.

I was out in the woods one day and I almost ran right into a young deer. She was just as startled as I was. She jumped back, but she didn't run away. We both just stood there about ten feet away from each other staring at each other. I didn't sense that she was really scared of me, just intensely curious, just as I was. We stood in that spot for about a minute and then we both went on our way. It was a neat moment and I think there was definitely some communication going on.

Animals are MUCH smarter than we give them credit for.

This may seem weird, but I really like spiders. I think they're neat and not all that scary, unless they're huge and about to eat me. :p I get spiders a lot in my bathtub, especially during the summer, and usually when I find one I let it out of the house by putting it in a cup and taking it outside, but sometimes I won't see one when I get into the shower so, the spider stays. There was this one time when there was a spider in the shower while I was showering and I made a deal with it that I wouldn't hurt it if it wouldn't hurt me, and it stayed where it was until I was done and didn't even come near me. I think that so many people are afraid of spiders that they don't even give them a chance... spiders aren't that bad. Think how nasty the world would be without them!

I love my spiders. They must be really effecient because I never see any other bugs in the house. I like to name them. I call one of them "Stretch".

To communicate with animals, you must realize that they are animals and not humans. A cat is a cat, a horse a horse, and a dog is always a dog...

Saying this, and speaking with years of experience in communicating with other species, I'm not being critical. I'm just saying that you have to observe other critters in their relationships with others of like species to get to know how they think.

We can "give" certain human qualities to our pets and animal charges... but in reality, they are animals and don't think like we do at all. To truly communicate with them, we have to Become the horse, or goat, or spider, or hawk, or dog. Learn their body language, learn the way they use their eyes, learn to interpret how important their Personal Space is to them and how they use it to maintain pecking orders and keep a mellow kind of cooperation and respect with one another. It is in these ways that animals communicate within a herd or pack.

They also receive and transmit pictures of how they view their immediate environs. This does take time, patience and effort to become 'easy' with. But if you truly develop a relationship with an animal friend and leave yourself open to the universe... you will receive those pictures.

One time, when my husband was away on a business trip, I sent my dog a picture of him going out to hunt. I then sent a picture of him coming home with two rabbits hanging from his hands. Two days later when he returned, Annie, our dog met him at the door with great anticipation. But he didn't have any rabbits! The look that she gave me, and the disappointment in the picture she sent to me, really made an impact.

You cannot lie to an animal. An animal will not lie to you. To lie is strictly a human quality. I've always liked living with animals for this reason. The relationships that are formed are ones of the purest trust.
