http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2362369 Homer Simpson would love the newest taste sensation in minor league baseball: the doughnut burger. We kid you not. The Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League promised to create "Baseball's Best Burger" in time for the team's opener in late May. And they appear to have succeeded. The ballpark sandwich will include a hamburger topped with sharp cheddar cheese and two slices of bacon -- all between a "bun" made of a sliced Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut. If you can find a (loop)hole in your cardiologist's advice, calorie counters predict the monster will set you back about 1,000 calories and 45 grams of fat.
I think I'm going to be sick! People can actually eat this?!? Never mind that it's meat for a second... a 1000 calorie sandwich??? Even if you're not on a diet, that's half your daily calories. And who is gonna order one of those, and NOT get the bathtub-sized fizzy sugar drink to go with it, making this "snack" a 1500 calorie, strap-me-to-the-gurney-now affair? Bleeachh! love, mom
eww that is so gross. I've had my share of fatning foods but, come on! That goes way over the line. No wonder America has an obesity problem, its cause we are creating food like this! Plus it has meat....yuck
Ummm . . . I think that is one of the most revolting things I have ever read. How could you stick that in your mouth, even if you were a meat eater? Ewwwww!
Yes.... offer me the same deal but with a veggieburger stuck in there and I doubt I'd be taking you up on it either.
The thought of burger (or veggieburger––are VBs any good? I haven't ever had one...) sounds disgusting together with a KK donut. YUCKY! Any real food mixed with a donut, sounds disgusting, actually!
gross.... this reminds me of an episode of the Boondocks I saw on adult swim [ok, don't laugh, I get stuck watching it because my boyfriend likes that stuff lol] anyway...Grandad made this restaurant and his most popular item was some doughnut burger! And.... at the end, all his customers ended up getting obese and dying of heart attacks and the place had to shut down. Ok, I'm done wasting your time being lame now...carry on.
i won't laugh at you - i think the boondocks is one of the most progressive and well-written animated series i've seen in a long time. i'm an adult swim dork myself - these days it's about the only TV i watch since i'm so busy. i loved that episode; the episode is named "the itis" based on what people call when they eat really gross, heavy food and fall asleep, and that's what grandad named his restaurant. the burger was named "the luther" after the late soul singer, luther vandross...yea, i'm a dork
