Seeking only to meet/talk to loving, peaceful pholks. Can't seem to say anything on AGR without finding someone who needs to negate it. This looks a little kynder. peace, mamaturtle
aint much shit here mamma turtle,, it is a moderated place,, although the mods leave us alone here unless there called.. been typin in this forum for like 6 years.. aint no agr shit gonna be tolerated here.. welcome home,, luv n lite..
The picture of sunrise over Cayuga makes me smile; I and my son were from the Finger Lakes for some years. We still own a 13-acre piece of what used to be my parents' farm, but winter there is just something I can't tolerate (or afford). My son will probably build there in a coupla decades...
Hi, hippiehillbilly. I don't know how well you knew Sister Diff; she and I were best friends for about 5 years and were buying that property together. I miss her too.
Hi Mama Turtle and welcome to HipForums! You mighta seen us on AGR but we don't often post there. we've been on HipForums for almost a year now & it is soooo much kinder than AGR!!! (and the extra features, like the photo gallery, are too cool!)
its a shame that i dont even know what agr is . i have been learning a lot from this site its just really great to know that loving people visit here ill talk any time love and peace all
Yes, I know yr names!! Hi! Glad to find y'all! could be I can find a decent pic of this ol' lady and hang it up so you know who's talkin' atcha!
Hi, again, hippiestead! I see you are in MY GOD TEXAS! Where? I'm in S.A., moving at present to another house about 3 blocks away.... someday soon to be back on the road and looking for folks to say "hi" to....
Hello Mama, Welcome here. I'm kinda new too, but this is the kyndest forum that I've found. Its nice to get to comucate with family. Luv and lite, sister to sister
Hello, again, all of you sweet Phamily!! I've put 4 pics up in my gallery, but haven't sussed yet how to put them on the forum. So if you wanna, go see! I'm a glass artist, there are a couple of my pieces (which look sweeter IRL than any pic, but what can ya do?), a pic of a pretty pile of beads (like I use in my stuff), and a picture of me before chemo, when my hair was still long.
Hello! What a sweet welcome! (((((((((((((((((sweet pea Ky))))))))))))))))))))))) Oh, wow! I just noticed how I can put up a pic on the forum! neat!
AGR is alt.gathering.rainbow, a Google group. It gets unpleasant fairly often. Sadly for me, I found Rainbow by surfing and it came up... for a long time I thought it was the only place to talk to Rainbow hippies... how happy I am to be wrong about that!!! This looks like a really loving space. I hope I don't break any rules, but if I do it'll be accidental and please let me know so I don't keep doing it!
Im part Welsh as well, but mostly Gael. I speak some Gaeligh (scots gaelic), plan to master it one day, because it is dying and I want my children to hear it spoken. I may learn Cymraeg one day, for my Cymri (Welsh) lineage.
Hmmm... parenthetical thought: didja know there is a large Welsh community in South America that has brought all of its culture, now purer than any that remains in Wales, to the Western Hemisphere? Been there abt. 150 years and going strong. Sadly, I've noticed that my ability to absorb new information has decreased markedly with age and illness. I say this only because I promised myself that one day I would go to Wales and learn the speech, but now I know I couldn't. Don't wait.
There was also a tribe of Welsh speaking indians in the south, where the Welsh had been to america before columbus, introduced their language, inter-married and some stayed. there reports of red haired fair skinned indians that spoke welsh when the rest of Europe finally got here. I have a friend here, a lady from Wales, always tells me cool things about the country and language as well.
<<but winter there is just something I can't tolerate (or afford).>> I am house poor myself now and believe on the road I will be able to live rather well. My tolerance for these winters has been gone for awhile now. Heron: You look so much like a brother I just lost that it made me cry. He was always the first to fill you with light, love and a bear hug that took most off their feet. The world is a much lesser place without him.
