What is your routine normally like?

Is everyday the same for you or do you live an exciting venturous life?

What are your days like? Are you happy, bored, content?

What would you do different or what would you hope never changes?

 

yea, monday, wednesday, and friday are pretty much the same. except for friday nights. tuesday's and thursday are different

i have regimented naps on MWF, i get up at the same time, eat at the same times, shower at the same times. i don't need an alarm clock ever, even when napping...

weekends are different. those are usually not planned.

i wish i could do more "stuff", but its hard when theres nothing to do in the middle of vermont...

 

My life is pretty structured, routine is a given with three little ones to care for, but there is enough variety thrown into the mix to make it interesting.

As my mama loves to say when she calls me and hears the chaos in the background at my house "never a dull momet".

 

alarm gos offat 420 am,, climb outta bed shortly after 5 leave house before 6 drive a hour an 45 minutes,, load truck, get fuel, get brunch,drive to job,work 5 to 6 hours,drive home, ususally home by 4 pm.. feed critters an drink beer..
sleep an restart the routine.. weekends there is no routine..

 

Lately it's been like this.
~ Wake up at 7am
~ Go to school
~ Get home, watch TV, computer
~ Around 6, I go to my friends and smoke some dope.
That's my week day. Weekends are all over the place.

 

My life seems to be structureless at the moment...days pass in a haze of thoughts and dreams and snippets of conversation. Time is constantly either passing too quickly or too slowly, some days feel like waking dreams...God knows what ive spent the last few months doing.

Im hoping this is a temporary thing. I feel like im sitting in a rudderless boat in the middle of an ocean at the moment, just waiting.

What i would really like, and what im hoping to have by May of this year, is a wake at dawn and have something concrete to fill every second with kind of routine. Ill have my job, and evenings out...new people to meet, new places to visit. I wont be in stagnant water. Im sick of never knowing what time of day it is, or even WHAT day it is...of never being quite sure whether im asleep or awake. Woah glad i got all that out of my system

but ditto for me ceptin for i ride,... the gettin home and after is different,,,, check email n shit, feed critters , water stuff in greenhouse, try n putter about a bit if weather permits,,, cook dinner, make zu-zus, shower when we got water that is... ... relax for a bit... pick up the shack a tad, do dishes , feed inside critters, etc etc, spend time with the kid ,,,, poke a bit of smot here n there... then,,,,,,,,,, clean off the bed, check emails n shit again n head to bed....

 

see,, i have no need to due anything,, ya got it handled..

i am so glad my backs fucked up..

sleep around 10 or 11

 

I have certain routines in life, but they're not based around time. Every morning I get up about two hours before going to work and read the newspaper online with coffee for about 45 minutes of it. Wednesday night's you're pretty much guranteed to find me out seeing this local band I really enjoy.

Outside of that, life is up in the air for me. Sometimes I have to work at 6 in the morning, other times not until 2. Sometimes I'm there until midnight. Somedays I'm there for fifteen hours.

My life completely lacks routine for the most part because of my occupation. Even where I live isn't routine. Because of my occupation, I've lived in eight different places in seven different states over the past six years.

 

routine? what's a routine? i sleep. get up. eat. piss. wash myself. sit in front of this thing. my eyes get tired. i lay down i sleep. sink starts gettin full i rinse dishes and put em in the dw. dw gets ful i add dw soap and run it. hamster gets full i put cloths, sheets, et c. in washin machine. every other day i shave. garbage gets full i take it out to the big can for the truck. monday night i put it out for the truck to come by and dump tuesday morning when it comes by.

when my landlord/neighbor goes on vacation i get up at 08:00 feed her 4 hot dogs. 18:00 i feed her another 3. tween 16:00 and 18:00 go out and check the mail if wifie isn't back and hasn't allready done it.

floors get cruddy i mop and vacume.

ever once in a while i'll go for a walk. computer store, train store, library, over to mom's and help her clean up. i'm over due for doin that. ever month or so wife and take a little bus trip. up to the next town further up the hill.

once a year we go down to san jose on the train to furcon.

not really a routine be we both keep kind of odd hours.

other then when our landlord/neighbor goes away for the weekend (and i'm looking after his sweet doggie) or i'm trina get arround to the day time to go over and help mom, i tend to be truely nocturnal, getting up between 18:00 and 20:00 and goin to bed arround somewhere betwee 08:00 and 12:00.

usualy same time wifie is sleeping so i can thing streight. mostly quiet though. sitting here infront of this thing.

i also make wonderful stuff to eat. usualy no particular set time. just when we're both hungry.

I work. I go home. I eat. I go to Wal-Mart. I go home. I eat again. Then start all over again.

 

Everyday is pretty much the same for me. I wake up, go to class at 8 then go to work, check my email, voicemail then take a nap, write the schedules for the day, then go get something to eat after I make sure no one called in or anything, then come back and check my voicemail and email again then give the kids prizes and then write case notes with everyone. Then I work on whatever project I'm doing and then go home, take a bath, write papers and come on here and then watch Keith Obermann and go to bed...or sometimes I go to school after work and get home at 10...and wake up and do it all over.
Needless to say during the weekends I do nothing as I'm burnt. My day's including class are 12-16 hours... Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays...and 10 hours Wed and Fridays...fun times....

 

Im planing a African Safari hunt you know just like those rich British did when they got bored of doing nothing in England.

 

oh and starting in june my schedule will be 9-5 m-f and grad school from 10-2 on saturdays ...sweeeeeet
