do you collect anything, do you have a interest in antiques, old books or china .

I have spent years in auctions car boot sales and buying and selling stuff . I started collecting military stuff mainly raf or rfc then I collected optical and scientific instruments .
Ive allways had a interest in books and have bought and sold them for years .

some of the whole collecting thing I find a bit crazy and how people can suddenly have vast collections of a certain thing , but I still enjoy going around looking for stuff .

what do you think of collecting , is it better to live for the moment and have no valued possessions , or is it the one with the most toys when they die who wins .

i collect everything... everything.... and everything.... theres too much stuff, even a little piece of paper with a doodle on i cant throw away... im hopeless... every so often i chuck a load of stuff away... only if im sure its of no importance to me... i do regret a few things now and again, want to relive something... but cant, so i get over it and move on... shit, im only 19....

its probably best to live to the moment for now... maybe in a few years when im not moving around as much i could collect my junk again... hmmm

also depends on what you're collecting. useful historical things, valuable things, things of interest etc is probably kewl to collect no matter what... but the things i pick up... probably not healthy...

I suppose I sorta collect musical instruments. I like learning to play new instruments and turn into a bit of kid when I'm presented with one!

So far...Two electric guitars, one acoustic guitar, keyboard, a mini keyboard from a poundshop which was seriously underpriced! Harmonica, auto-harp, thumb piano, a recorder, a Mexican flute and an Indian flute...A little Irish drum and one of those clacker things. Next on the list: Stylophone :D

Like Lindsay I have trouble throwing anything remotely creative away, I've still got every song I've ever wrote and every doodle friends have drawn round mine.

When I was young, I used to collect POGS. Nowadays I collect old 1980's cassettes from the guy who owns the record store in Catford Mews. I have got stuff from charity shops. Stuff from Howard Jones, Human's Lib, Thompson Twins, Some eighties compilations. I want Ultravox and the soundtrack to Electric Dreams. Ultravox had B side blank. So you could record your own stuff.

i collected dolls when i was little (miiistake), and then dragony related things
then when i got away from ornaments i started collecting information and stories (mainly with internet), have folders and folders of paper.mythical creatures, old ghost photography fakes, tree types, symbology, runes..

now just pretty books, and only occasionally..but like a few of you guys i'm a real hoarder and find it hard to throw anything away. if i do i regret it a few days later..

Just purchased The Cars. It is on a EQ something rather duplication so you set it to Normal, not Chrome/Metal.

The one to look for, the brass 12-sided George VI threepenny coin, 1937. ($270-300) It had the letters 'IND IMP which declared George VI to be Emperor of India. The 1950 George VI one penny coin is worth ($40-50) because only about 240,000 were minted. Bank of England 5 pound error note, 1970s. The usual cashier's signature, is missing. Or one with A01 prefix, 1981.Bank of Malta 5 pound note, 1968, Bahamian 10 shilling note,1960s are all worth between ($180-200). New Zealand 1 pound note,1960s ($40-50).
