As for the ones I've played, I like Martins, really old acoustic Gibsons, Godin acoustics, like Art & Lutherie/Norman... and of course, I love my humble ole Stella.
i'm a big fan of the two rivals...gibson and fender. can't say i prefer one over the other. just depends on what kind of sound i'm looking for.
Well, the only guitar I really play is a Yamaha, so I guess I should say Yamaha. But it's not a shit Yamaha by any means. It's a vintage, early '70s (1972, to be exact) acoustic, and it fits me really well. I've played new Yamaha acoustics, though, and I will agree that they seem to be shit. I would never want to own one of those, but this one I like a lot. Check the reviews, they're quite good: http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/Yamaha/FG_180-1.html Overall it gets a pretty spiffy 9.6/10 If I could have any guitar, though, maybe it'd be a Martin... but then I'd have to worry about messing up a really expensive instrument. Hell, I'm happy with what I've got.
I just bought an old Martin... I don't worry about messing it up. Martin for acoustics. Paul Reed Smith, G&L, and Gibson/Heritage for electrics.
I've got a Gibson Les Paul, a Fender Strat, a Fender Jazz Bass, a Yamaha acoustic and a bunch of severely modified cheap no-name electrics. The Gibson is my favorite.
anyone who likes Gibson will love Heritage Heritage is a company founded by Gibson's top design engineers who left the company when Gibson became far too commercialized. I haven't played a solid body, but their semi-hollow and hollow bodies put Gibson's to shame.
