When you are tripping one of the worst things you can do is watch the time. The time goes by so slowly and it's a terrible feeling. At least for me it was. It was something like 3:53 a.m. and I told myself that once the clock read 3:54 that I would be fine. Well, I sat there and sat there for what felt like hours. Finally the minute changed. Then I watched again waiting for it to say 3:55, convinced that I was about to die any second if it didn't hurry up. I did this probably for 10 minutes. I was completely obsessed with the time. Scared to death that I was going to die and/or that I was trapped in time.
Had a similar but very different experience with time. It was on L though. Was at a Widespread show at Red Rocks last summer and they started way way late which was bad enough cus I had dosed as son as I got in...but I looked at my watch at one point and it said 3:45 or 9:15 I couldn't really tell which. But for the next at least 3 hours every time I looked at my watch the hands were straight accross. I know it went for this long because it went well into the trip and into the darkness. Certainly messed with my mind...I thought time had stopped and we were alll suddenly walking around in some sort of bubble in time...some mistake...it was widspread panic all around me. Time is fucked when you're trippin.
When I was on acid, I would do stuff and then look back at the clock, realizing that only a few minutes had passed when I felt like I was doing the task at hand for hours. Kind of a wierd feeling.
When I'm trippin' I really don't care what time it is. All that matters is that I'm trippin' and it will be a little longer until I have a reason to care about time again.
My clock experience is also the exact opposite from personface's. I was lying down in my bed while tripping because something had upset me and I was chilling out, and I looked at the clock and it said "hello". Just kidding, it said 3:45, then, a second later, 3:46, a second later, 3:47. This continued for 90 straight minutes (which of course seemed like a minute and a half). It seemed like some real sort of time warp to me. Insanity. PS. Personface, you look gorgeous, I think you should consider dating me. PPS. My logic is this: I - am - awesome. PPPS. Aim positive, and deny the negative - Dubconscious
That's funny about the time "ticking" by like that. And you think I should consider dating you? What do you have to offer? Let me know!
Me and my friend were trippin on acid on new years eve. That morning we were just sitting on the couch watchin the clock, when all of a sudden, my friend came up with this crazy idea of how the sun controls time and all this. This occured at the same time that the sun was shining directly on the clock, and i understood what he was saying. Two "minutes" later, the sun had moved on and i got completely confused as to what he was talking about. Yet it still made sense to him. My friend then proceeded to burn a corn chip and use the chared end to write down his hypothosis, yet, now it made even less sense to me, and he didnt understand what he was trying to say in the least. It was very strange.
I like it when time passes really slow when im trippin. It makes me feel like my trip lasts longer or something
Ahhh the clock. I do not look at it often, or none is around. But one time, things were going so slow. And you may not believe this but time actually was frozen and went backwards. Everything is possible. Mind over matter, mind is the universe and everything around. When I see the clock I see eternity.
I kind of like clocks while tripping. It's fun to sit and think about exactly why a second lasts a second, or a minute isn't 3 days. Of course, this only usually lasts maybe 10 minutes at the most, then I find something shiny to play with.
