Yea... The title says it all... I wasn't gonna say anything in fear it would come back, but ehhh... Just letting you know.
Yeah, I've had a few. Sometimes to do with doctors (like last December when I was getting a shot or once or twice that I got my blood pressure taken). And Eddy if I had some Xanax I'd probably give it to you. I'm a little paranoid about pills these days.
i used to have panic attacks everyday, i have post tramatic stress disorder, so now im perscribed xanax.
Damn.. I've only been having them (as much) these past two years or so. I had a few when I started visually hallucinating and started seeing "spiders" during nighttime in the dark of my room.
My mom used to get them very bad ... shes on somthing now to keep 'em away. It isn't xanax though ...
They don't prescribe SSRIs for them. Usually Benzodiazepenes, which are a hellish drug in their own right.
Have a friend who's had loads- he was put on pills and had to go see a mental doctor every week. He had so much stuff wrong with him that for a while he was officially classed as slightly insane and got ages off school He turned out okay. Ish. He wears tights now.
*hugs* those things suck ass. And yes, thinking about them and about what panicked/stressed you to start with can bring 'em back, so don't think too hard about it eh? When I have them, I can't breathe - my chest gets all tight and I can't get the right breathign tempo again, I have to have someone show me how to breathe again or else I'll end up hyperventilating, I've nearly passed out from a couple. I had to call the hospital one time and make the nurse talk me down/make me breathe again, it was freaky I haven't had one in a couple years though, which is le lovely. The start, yes, but I've learned to STOP, Take a LONG, SLOW, DEEP breath, let it out even slower than you took it in, and think about something that makes you calm, like a colour or the ocean or something. Helps some
i once had a mini one.but it wasn't all that bad.just had trouble breathing and like you said my chest was tight
