I have this project that i wanted to do for a long time and i feel it is time to start on it.

It takes a lot of time, energy and funding.

So i hooked up on this referal site to try to fund my project.

Hi, welcome to the forums!

I think maybe you should make the object of your project (and why you need money for it) a bit more obvious (like maybe, "for a one off payment of $4 you can help socially isolated people", or whatever). I think most people will take a look at the page, see a page full of text and just close it again.

Also, while I think it's great that you've decided to help people :

1) I don't think it can really be called a charity if you/the donators are making money. The donated money should go to the cause that caused the donators to donate. (edit : although, on second thought, it is an incentive for people to donate, I just can't see any non-corrupt way of working with that system)
2) People are unlikely to give you money just because you've written some words saying you're a good person planning to do good things (I understand you probably aren't, but then trust issues aren't always a bad thing, nobody knows who you are)
3) There is no (obvious) indication of how the money will be spent aside from the main goal. It seems - from what you've got on your page - that you've found a concrete way of realising your vision, but you have no conrete vision to realise.
4) You should do something to show people that you're dedicated, for example, taking out a loan that allows you to get started on the project. At least then people will see the dedication you claim to have, rather than taking your word for it.
Lastly... it's kind of ironic you're asking for money to help people with trust issues, when no-one knows if they can trust you

Just some constructive critism. I hope I didn't sound too hostile for your first reply (it's the natural reaction when anyone asks me for money, lol)

First of all thanks for your critism, these are the kind of people i would like to surround me with. They are the most constructive you can find.


Trust, yeah that is indeed something that is hard to give when you are communicating over the Internet. The Internet is full of money traps and scams, it is full of people who have bad intentions. So i don't blame you that it is hard to trust a project like this.

Let me tell you why i set it up like i did.

I am a freelance Europa tour driver, I am on the road sometimes for 2 month's in a row. I love my job!!! It is great but it is very time consuming. This means that i can't be at home all the time to manage this project. This is very frustrating at times. As you probably see, i live in a difficult situation at the moment to be able to take loans so i can prove that i mean what i say. Now, loans have to be paid. So the non profit organisation has to have an income. But we don't do trade! So how is the organisation going to pay off the loan? That will mean that will have to drive even more so i am able to cover the loan. What will have the result that i will be on the road even more and that the process of the project is been slowed down even more. Not only that, this will result in me spending wasted money in paying interest to the bank. So this approach will only be of benefit to the bank but NOT to the project!!!! I have been thinking this over and over, and unfortunately i don't have many more options at this time.

Why am i anonymous? Because i don't have the legal shelter yet. I want to see if this works and then if it does, this will be the first thing i do. I would LOVE to expose myself. There is really nothing that i desire more. But it need funding so i can do this.


So concrete.

What shall i do with the money?

1) First off all get a legal shelter. (SENSIWORLD nr1) A trust fund that will invest the money and control it, so the earnings are being handled wise. The money will be invested in bond's, stock's etc.... and will be managed by professionals so i can generate a steady income to finance the project or projects (see pps file). At this time I will be having an income and assets that WILL allow me to get a loan so i can move on and leave my day job so i can concentrate on this 100%.

2) When the trust has been set up, I will open the non profit (SENSISAIL) under the trust fund so she will get her needed funding from (SENSIWOLD nr1). And from this point the project will be getting her first breath of air. From this point i can really prove i am serious about this. Which I am!

3) I have made a pps file that showes you what i would like to accomplish in the VERY long run.


Why i don't go to government to get money, why i don't get it from multi nationals? I want this construction to be independent. Because i want to do more in the end then only SENSISAIL. Not only that, SENSISAIL will allow children from all over the world. And SENSISAIL will be operating all over the world. So i don't want to restrict myself to one government. Multi nationals, as you say, trust is an issue in this non profit world. It has been abused to for many times in the past that people like me are getting a hard time. When i will be applying for funding then, success in getting those funds will only be so when media is focusing on my project. The Multi Nationals don't care about a single guy's mission. They want advertisement in return.

I went trough all this during a previous set up of a charity i did 5 years ago, (SENSIDRIVE), i was on TV, in newspapers on the radio etc... My city helped me with logistics, communications etc...
I took absence with out pay from my job i had then. (good job, i was commercial attache in a big food distributor) And the multinationals were interested. I had contract's with artists, TV channels for promotion, animators, security for the event etc.... The government supported me with logistics too. The setup was a success. I had an event knocked together that i never expected to be so complete. But the day that the financial manager from a BIG multinational came was also the day that the printing had to be done and the event had to be officially launched. I had the meeting and they promised me to sponsor me for 2/3 of the total cost. So we sat together and he said, well i can't give you cash but i can give you drinks for the same value of the promised amount. The reason for this was because they ran out of sponsoring budget for that year. This was the execution of my project. If there would be a storm i would not make profit. because it was an out door event. I wouldn't attract the needed people to sell the drinks to. So that means that i would have to pay money instead of earning. So we sat down with the mayor and the city college. Well we had to blow the whole thing off. The risk of losing money was to great and i would have to pay every cost made. There were claims etc... that i had to live up too and i couldn't guarantee that any more in this situation. This also resulted in me being fired from my job, because they sponsored me as well and i didn't deliver bla bla bla. No no more multi nationals at this point in time.


So i left the corporate world and i became a driver. I needed my time to get over this, i needed time to reconstruct. I said at that time, no more charity, no more projects but nothing is so rewarding then helping people. Knowing that you are working hard to put a smile on someones face. That is very satisfying for me, and the driving i do now gives me the time to think and it only confirms that i need to do this. I get pulled to this kind of work.

My personal goals?

Of course i have to think about me too. I have to earn money to support my personal security for my later life. This is no secret. Everybody has to. What do i want to get personally out of this?
I want to be able to support my future family. To create a job for my fiance so we can work together. She is a nurse and loves to help people too. That is why she chose that profession in the first place. It is not my plan to do a hit and run with the finance being made so i can drink cocktails on a deserted island. Not that i don't want to do that sometimes in my life. But no, i want to do constructive things. I want to come home proud and make my fiance proud. Make my friends proud and the people who help me in this. As you see, i have looked for an opportunity where everybody can get better from. People who help me and the project. I want to move in this world without stepping on peoples toes and disappoint them. I have been disappointed to much that i don't want to disappoint others. Don't do to others what you don't want them to do to you!!!!!!!! This is the only way that will allow you to look at yourself in the mirror. And feel proud of yourself. Respect Loyalty and Honesty are the most important values in life. When you live up to this then happiness will smile at you in the end. Inner peace will reach you.

My site does need improvement. And a lot of it. If someone can help, please contact me. Or if you have better idea's then share them please. This is my first attempt to make one.

I hope that this lifted some of the mysterious fog around the project and me as a person. And at the same time i hope that i will find some people who want to help me in this so we can build a GOOD and DECENT project.

But of course it is still a dream!!!!!!! I am hoping to accomplish SENSISAIL in 3 to 5 years. First i'll start with SENSISAIL and when time and finance are in my favour then i will try to build further at this dream. I'll try to extend it further then only SENSISAIL.

It can take yrs to get Non-Profit status and you have to be established a year and have books acountable. You should take a course and learn what you can before jumping into something unfamiliar.
but best of luck finding anyone that has more money then sence to trow away on an unastablished/noncontractional send me some money request.

I do have a degree in economics! i know what it takes. Like it also takes 3 people to set one up. But this is the law in my country! I understand your sceptisism. Completely, i would be accactly the same. BUT i try to build and your negative remarks and will not slow me down. instead of judging, why don't you ask me some question to see if i know and have what it takes to acomplish this?

a degree huh, To get a degree in anything you must first pass high school and have full collage credits to further your education. You can't spell any better then I with an 8th grade education. I'm not judging you, I'm questioning your validity. Words mean nothing without backup and your misspelled words and backwards phrasing doesn't give you credibility.. you have to walk the walk to know how to talk the talk. Just talking the talk will get you nowhere. You can say anything.. doing is what will make you friends and influence people. Get a clue to whom your addressing..

Then i NEVER asked money!!!! I asked for help and your attention. The money asking happens in other forums who are made for that. In this forum i am just asking for advise. CONSTRUCTIVE ADVISE. now if you don't want to give me that then wy do you reply to my posts? I am just beginning with this project and it needs to be shaved here and there. Yeah i change it. WHY? because i take your advise in account. When it is constructive i use it. i even have added this forum to my site qso every visitor can see my project beeing shaped.
