I got another star on my foot and my hood pierced! Both didnt hurt as much as i thought they would.......anyone else have their hood done? cause im not sure how to care for that one too much lol -luv- wynter
i had my hood done when i was 18. i just used dial soap and water and i think it actually healed faster than any of my other piercings. you are 16? how did you get a tat and piercing? i had my first tat at 15 (guy didnt ask my age) and then my second at 16 which was a cover up that my mother took me to get done and she signed for it. my first piercing was at 17........i cant remember how that one happened.
I would hold off on the dial and just clean as you normally would. When I had my hood done, I found the dial to be waaaay too irritating, even when I diluted it. It should heal up pretty quickly using the LITHA method (leave it the hell alone)
I cleaned mine with hand soap and water usually. If it gets irritated, bathe with epsom salts or you can pee on some TP and dab it. I know it sounds gross, but urine is sterile and it really helps. Also, ALWAYS wash your hands before touching!
My wife went with the soap and warm water thing, worked fine. My prince albert was treated the same, except with the peepee method added naturally.
Dr.Bronners soap worlks really well to even better than dial since it is all natural and biodegratable
off topic but.... MinkaJane....I just realized who you remind me of in your sig......Natalie Merchant!
yeah you look like her in your sig. take it as a compliment because she is beautiful! (i love natalie)
It's only been a week - it may feel healed, but it's not. They heal from the outside in, so the inside is still healing. Keep washing it and taking good care of it for a month, minimum. I've had mine for about 3 1/2 months and it's still healing. It can take 4 weeks to 6 months to heal, depending on the person.
Teetree oil watered down with salt water is great for any piercings because its a natural aintibacterial
well I'm sure you disagreeing is going to affect her greatly! It's her bodyafter all. I wouldn't encourage having so much done so young but I would also say that at 16 it's her choice.
I just think that if you wanted a tattoo that bad, you would wait for it. It's going to be on your body for the rest of your life...so what exactly is the rush??
