I did my first barefooting of the year!!! I'm not use to walk bf in that weather (was in the low 40s sunday night), and it felt cold at first, but I felt so great! I must have looked weird, barefoot on the cold and wet pavement with my shoes in my hands at midnight, but, meh, I don't care, my feet were happy! Can't wait for the summer!
yeah. I don't know about you guys, but we here in Michigan have cold weather on the way again. These nice days (almost 70 today!) just couldn't last. It's a damn shame I spent the nicest days at work. I was really pissed about it, actually. But I am getting some BFing in...even though ideally I'd be out on my bicycle in the sun. I guess walking the two blocks home from work hours after sunset will have to suffice
Our best day yet was yesterday, before the afternoon ocean winds---56 degrees! And that's warm enough. Barefoot all day at my jobs, although the thawing ground gives some weird results. On a lawn it is possible to sink into 2" of soft sod, mud (feels good) and stop sinking at the perma frost line (can get to you after awhile) We never had much snow this year, but I did some barefooting in it during a similar warm 50ish day last week. I easily last long enough to cross a shady lawn in snow, to the bare ground waiting for me on the other side, and I enjoy it, too. Early start this year---this is the time of year we USUALLY have the deepest snow, but also it's the time it begins to shrink---
