Death penalty doesn't solve a thing, it only serves as a personal satisfaction to whoever wants the murderer dead. It should never be mandatory, you have to look at the cause, psychological state of the one who commited the act, everything. Sometimes the person might not know what she was doing, mentaly handicapped person. We should rather keep that person away from society instead of eliminating her, that person might not even know why she's being sentenced. There's also the risk of innocence, or the need of witnesses if the case reopens.
do you mean, who cares about people getting killed because tof their crimes? than th answer would be, everyone who's against death penalty.
That was mostly pointed out to whoever said that death penalty should be mandatory. It is also hard to prove insanity.
