very auditory trip

does anyone ever have trips where the primary hallucinations are auditory. on friday night i was dosed with liquid at a show and it was defintley decent cid, but the only visuals were the minor textural ones, (the lights rotating, very bright, walls dripping, etc) but i kept hearing things all night. peoples voices were magnified and it sounded like i could hear everything everyone saying and i kept hearing voices whisper in my ear saying things like "open your inner eye as far as you can young one" and sometimes i felt as if i could predict people speaking like i got the sense that my friend was about to speak and sure enough a few seconds later he did. maybe he had already said something and i just didnt process it immediatley im not sure. it was a pleasant but different trip.

Auditory hallucinations are never really good signs man on the effects of a drug, or for someone with it occuring randomly.

Ive had wall drippings and all those with some rc , but it was different than lsd.

 

high doses of LSD have given me RIDICULOUS aural hallucinations. like hearing someone speak clearly in german or thai when in reality they're talking english... or hearing distant sounds like sirens, airplanes, laughter, dogs, winds, random stuff, etc. or with shrooms, hearing apache helicopters flying around in the sky. or hearing a cup of chocolate pudding bubble and fizz in front of your eyes. the possibilities are endless.

point is, these sorts of hallucinations are totally possible. for me, it becomes VERY pronounced when you get over 250/300ug of LSD or around 4+ grams of good shrooms.

My friend would hear stuff on mushrooms so he stopped taking them...Maybe hes worrying for nothing.

All ive heard on lsd was kinda rattached to the visuals...oil dripping, a wet sound...cant really describe.

 

More so on mushrooms, i get crazy auditory hallucinations. When i ate a quad one time, my friend began talking to me and trying to explain something, his voice kept moving in and out, sounding very distant and then very close, and for a bit i could not even understand the language he was speaking (english) it just sounded like he was talking really fast and gibberish, just like that scene in fear and loathing when hunter is tripping ballz in the bar.

 

i usually get auditory hallucinations at the end of the trip when i'm hopelessly trying to get to bed but still trippin out. this is one of my favorite parts cuz i'm all alone and the thoughts and visuals just start goin. i'll usually be in the middle of some bazzar/eerie thought and all of the sudden i'll hear like a backwards "pop". like if someone recorded a firecracker and then played it backwards, if u can imagine what i mean. its weird, it kinda feels like somethings shooting out from my head. really hard to explain.

 

reminds me of a high dose mushroom trip i had where every few seconds someone would cry out "PEACEFUL CO-EXISTANCE".

 

I agree. one time on mushrooms my friend had a conversation with me discussing something about DVDS. and i asked him about it afterwards, he said it never happened.

audio hallucinations ARE a part of tripping!

it's one of you senses that's geting distorted - simple as that.

i love audio-hallucinations! have them everytime we trip on acid. the strongest time ever was about 5 years ago. i played at a party that night. after the set took 1 blotter of madhatter trips. and arround 4 hours later a friend was playing. i'm serious - i kept asking what songs he was playing while sitting on the ground behind de dj boot. i was hallucinating SO hard that i just couldn't hear music anymore. it was just sounds whirling and dripping and floating. and every time i asked what it was he looked at me like "man! you know this song!! it's this -name-!" ... and i just couldn't believe the names he said - cause i just could'nt hear the music anymore like i used to.

on mushrooms it can also get pretty strange. ike hearing a conversation and hearing 1 person ultra clean and the other person sounds like some troll or monster ... it can get really selective.

another mushroom trip i did in the mountains was strange - while peaking i heard african drums playing in the deep. and there was noone arround in miles!!

man, I LOVE auditory hallucinations...especially hearing music when none is playing.

one time I was so gone on ketamine and shrooms, my friends mediocre car stereo looked like some alien technology, and the Donald Glaude cd sounded completely different than the actual music on it (which sucks, because I felt that the music I was hearing while tripping was far superior)
whew...good times.

On mushrooms I have lots of audio changes, to point where one time was hearing the school intercom in my school calling my name, and then saying please report to the office. I have heard voices that sound like its an alien language and other wierd stuff.

I've had all kinds of audio hallucinations and I didn't even realize it at first. I thought the jazz concert we were at was supposed to sound like it did. That same night, one of my friends took the two of us who were tripping down into the basement of the music building and played marimba for us. This marimba was HUGE, the lowest pitched bars being well over a foot long and several inches wide. There was a weird vibratto effect for each note and when he started playing faster, it started to overlap.

Then he took us to his apartment (in the car simulator...I think out of everything I've experienced, that was the best overall effect/mind fuck) and had us listen to The Mars Volta. It was really the second time we tripped that we listened to a whole bunch, but the first time was what started it. It sounded not like regular music but like what I call electrorecordings because it sounded so weird. I won't even try to describe it other than the music was flowing in a beat in synch with my energy.

One bad one that happened was the second night. My friend and I had been separated (in a matter of seconds for me to turn around and point a group of 9 kids that were tripping in the right direction) and I ended up in the cemetery (weird right? I didn't think that much of it...that segment was a Dane Cook/ Mitch Hedburg section for me...everything was funny and sounded like one of their jokes) and eventually my friend showed up with two guys, one who had dosed with us and the other who was "in charge" of all of us (who was also really, really drunk). We were all chillin there, until my buddy (who didn't get along with that crowd too well) decided to leave. He whispered in my ear that he wanted to leave so we got up to go and said bye and all that. Well, he thought he heard them sayin mean shit about him but what he actually heard was "Where's Alex goin? Alex is leavin" It took the 15 minute walk back to my room to get him to calm down about it. During that walk back, we felt like we sobered up, but I think that was just our bodies getting numb...as soon as we get back inside it came back full force...

 

yeah you talk about synesthesia...but im talkin bout voices telling you stuff and laughing at you. ...would it be a normal effect of psychedelics? or should one experiencing them stop right away?

 

that would be a normal effect of moderate doses of psychedelics.

ive never had them only like phone conversations if i concentrate on a sort of buzzin sound I hear...

 

to be exact - synesthesia is when sound becomes visual or visual things affect sound ... so when there is a shift between the senses.

well - it's strange to really hear another voice in the room telling you stuff - or really hearing people laughing at you when noone is there ... not your common psychedelic experience. (maybe on Datura but not 'cid) ... to be honest - if your friend really REALLY expereince this - it might be that he can't draw the line between what he thinks is real and what he really hears ... sometimes i hear my name being called - but i know it's just some thought that is so clear that it seems like it really happend. always know the driffrence between reality and psych(e(osis). don't go scarring yourself of with stuff like - i hear poeple laughing at me ... it's always the mind that is working. maybe someone else would know that it is nside his had - but your friend is a little unbalanced and thinks this shit is really happening.

Ive always thought that hearing constant voices was something to worry about. I probably would not be doin lsd if it was a common effect in me. dph, which i done once and hated, does it more, like people yelling things at you and stuff...
