Can dentists see if you smoke?

I only started like this and last month , and i have a dentist appointment today for a anual checkup and i only smoked prob 30 times tops... i never counted but thats my estimate,, thats INCASE i prob did less.... could he see? if i have?? someonetold me about gray spots , i dont have them but i have cuts on my tong like i had for a while before i ever started smoking...

i smoke alll the time and my dentist has never said anything. i doubt he could tell unless you are a big cigarette smoker.

 

I'm not sure, but I always thought that smoking (more so cigs because your constantly inhaling smoke everyday) turned your teeth yellow. If that's the case, then it could be from not brushing, drinking tea or something that stains your teeth, or a number of other things. He'll probably have an idea, but I don't think there's any tell-tale signs of a smoker.

 

do u not brush your teeth or somthing?

i've smoked pounds and pounds in my lifetime and i've never once even thought of the dentist noticing, my teeth are still really white

Oh yes i am ahhaha ... thanks - i brush my teeth like every other day ... sometimes everday , depending on if i remember of forget hahah thats what weed does to ya... thats why im scared im a new toker , I HATE CIGGERETES ! but i smoke weed thats why im a little scared.. and paranoid.

A good majority of people (about 70% of the pop.) develop small bumps on the back of their tounge when they smoke somewhat regularly our of a glass pipe...but nothing to be worried about.

And anyways would your dentist say anything?

 

Where the hell did you get a number like 70%. I didnt develop any bumps from smoking weed.

Nahh dude. Don't worry. 30 times probably hasn't changed your teeth at all. If he asks, just say you've started drinking a lot of coffee. That stains your teeth, in its early stages, the same way smoking does.

 

if there is some way that he can tell, he wont do shit. dont be so paranoid it takes the fun out of smoking.

don't worry about it...who cares anyway? Ive gone an applied for jobs before and they would say 'oh here is your form to go take your UA" LOL My response is "Oh, nevermind then, Im a pot smoker"
