I want a wake, just a big party in my honour. And then I want to be buried in a plain pine box, with no formaldehyde, in the back acre of my dad's property, with an apple tree planted on top of me.

if it was up to me i'd just let the buzzards and the worms have at it. givin back to the earth some of what it gave to me. that's what feels right to me as ought to be done. no box, no pyre, no big deal. the fire idea i think came about as a way to keep living people from getting sick, as did most of all the expensive crap they insist on being done to dead bodies now.

i won't loose sleep over not being able to fight any of that. but this is what i would prefer anyway.

dad wanted his ashes scattered out to sea by the neptunes. mom had the military plant him in san bruno. well it didn't cost anything that way.

whatever doesn't cost anything or require any big fuss, is good enough for me. probably have to be anyway.
