my moms a bad migraine sufferer. and i occasionaly get a headache or two...but ive always been able to just sleep them off.

however just yesterday...i got a real bad headache...and still have a light one today. it was really weird because my right eye started like flashing (hard to explain) and my sight was a bit blurry. after that static like vision i had through my eye...i got the headache.

im wondering if i may be getting migraines now, because at the moment....my head feels fine when i keep it still...but when i look side to side i can feel pressure on my head. so ive still got it from last night and thats never happened before.

sorry if this isnt making much sense...cant explain the feelings etc.

if your mother suffers from migranes its very likely that you will too. most people dont begin to get them untill their early twenties. i never had a headache in my life and then when i was 22 i started getting severe migranes and very very frequent (my dad had them as well). sometimes i will get a full blown migrane and on almost a daily basis i have shooting pains in my head which my doctor says are remnents of a migrane. it sounds to me like you may be experiancing that as well.

a large majority of migraines can be controlled by diet..... habits n regularity in them all....it irks me to no end that all the migraine sufferers of the world resort to pills n medicines etc to control them when the majority of the time we can actually control them n not let them take over our lives... its much easier to look to medicine to take care of our issues than deal with ourselves and our habits...

try having regular sleeping /wake cycles,,, cutout processed meats n foods,,,, monosodium glutanates(msg's),,,,there are oodles of self helping techniques that truly do help and make a world of difference,,,
my youngun began suffering from them at the age of three,,,, still has an occasional one but most of the time it can be traced back to her eatting something she shouldnt have or skrooin her schedule up big time,,,, her body retaliates with a migraine...

thanks for the advice. im a generally healthy guy, sleep patterns i could work on, as well as the meats i think. also i get headaches from changing eating patterns...for example normally i have lunch around 1, but recently if i havnt eaten by about 1.45, my head hurts until ive eaten. its very frustrating.

also, im sorry to hear about your child. from the age of 3 must have been a really hard time for him/her and you.

it was for a while very hard,,, the idjit docs thought she had brain tumors n twas skeery rolling her nit oall the tests n shit....

i am sure the lists are out there on the net and it is quite surprising what may help trigger them,,,, pepperoni, bologna(ew), salamis etc are real biggies,,,anything with MSG's and the list goes on,,,, it doesnt mean go veggie or anything either lol,,, nothing that drastic....
