Shrooms for the 1st Time

I will be going to Amsterdam by myself. I want to try mushrooms. I'm concerned about trying them by myself because of some warnings i've read. However, I do not want to trip really deep and that I think I should be able to do that on my own. Does anyone have any suggestions? What type of shrooms would be best for what I'm looking for?

I suggest a trip (no pun intended) to Conscious Dreams on Warmoesstraat.

Asking your questions to whoever is working behind the counter is your best bet as the people working there are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Coming from someone who has done the solo shroom thing in Amsterdam here is some advice.

A. Have a safe zone that you can get away from things and chill if necessary.

B. Do not take too many at once. Perhaps start with a half dose and wait for the effects before taking more.

C. Have some orange juice and sweets on hand to come down if necessary

D. Look out for those Hawaiians. Those little fuckers will mess YOU up!

 

I have done the hawaains once and let me tell you, wow, wow, wow! To be totally honest, I would say that my life changed forever after that. For the better. But I'm not sure that I'm ready to take those things again.

I would also say that everyone should try the hawaains at once in their lifetime. It was a pleasurable experience for me, but there were times that it wasn't so pleasurable. But the real truth sometimes is not so pleasurable, and that's ok. i'm ramblin.. sorry....

 

mexicans and liberty caps are weaker than the hawaiians.....

may I suggest "truffles" or "philosopher stones" they are not overbearing and give you more "mental ephiphony's"

 

Yeah the mexican ones I had were pretty mellow, tripping with someone else is much better imo.

If I was you I'd buy some mexicans. Go back to my hotel and eat a few to begin with. Then sit back and let the fun begin. I always get them from a head shop down near the greenhouse in the rld. Good luck.

I originally posted a smaller pic and it wasn't good enough. Understandable.

It's just the way that the post was worded that caught me off gaurd. He did say "thanks" in the end though. Initially, to me, it came off like a spoiled brat not getting what they want.

wow...i've never had a comment so misunderstood..I did not know what an "Avatar" was..I was asking if that was an "Avatar"..now that I think about it, I am assuming you thought I was being sarcastic. I have never heard the word "avatar" before, and this chart is awesome. (Especially for someone that knows nothing about mushrooms) However, it was very small and I couldn't read it, so I was asking if it was an "avatar" so I could look on the internet and find a bigger chart. However, you reposted it and it's great. When you said "that's considered whining", I was thoroughly confused. Thanks man! I really appreciate your help. Hope this clarifies my comments.

Thanks for takin' the time to clarify your statements. Yes, I did think you were being sarcastic and I'm glad that wasn't your intention.

The initial pic was small and difficult to read. No problems posting a bigger picture. It's just the way I percieved it as being asked for. Even then, not the end of the world.

In the end, it's all about helping a brother out and getting the shrooms best suited for you. Have a grande trip and watch out for those Hawaiians!
