i started this in acrylic wash, but it looks rediculous. please help me fix it. i'm willing to listen to any advice.
Sometimes a painting just doesn't work and your time is better spent just gessoing over the whole thing and starting over.
Theres things Ive just put up for a while and when I felt the right time went and redid them, renewed them, worked more on and finished or completely redone......I would just put it away for now if your not into it or having trouble.
hey dropkick, just let it flow around in your studio for a copple of months, and than if you feel like it finish it in 30 minute's. Composition is good, would be silly to gesso it again.
Not only is the composition not good, but there are some serious perspective issues with the face. If you are going to fix it, start with the white hat. You need to ground this painting because right now my eye shoots straight from the eyeballs to the top, and then can't make it back down to the bottom. Until you get some visual flow it is going to be bad.
I would suggest not thinning the paint as much. It makes the colors look dull and unworkable. Put on some good music and just go with the flow. I think I would also change the perspective of the face slightly, but, other than that, I think it could definitely work.
The main idea of it is cool, you just need a little bit more definition, reminds me of a hologram, just outline it a little more
