My girlfriend and I love eachother and we use protection when we make love. A few months ago she went off the pill (we heard that it was healthy to do that once in a while), so we started to use condoms again. Now she tells me that she hasn't had her period for something like 2 - 2½ months... I always check to see if there's holes in the rubber after sex, and I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. I know that she hasn't cheated on me or anything, so now I've started to think if perhaps the fact that she went off the pill could have anything to do with her period being late (2 - 2½ months)...
If any of you have experienced something like this please help us out here:)
She's going to take one of those "do it yourself" pregnancy tests, but she won't be back from vacation for the next few days so I would really appreciate it if someone here could give me some input that I could use to cheer her up with (only the truth ofcourse:)).
    -Thanks in advance-

Ya, my boyfriend told me that his sister told him that going off the pill once in a while is good although I've heard arguments about that.

I find that when I went off my pill, my period's schedule was slightly messed up but not to the extend of 2 and 1/2 months. Change in diet, stress levels could change period times too. Sometimes there might be sperm in precum so getting a test done is definitely a good idea.

If worst comes to worst, an early knowlegde of it is better than a later one.

When going on and off bc pills the hormone levels change, so her lack of a period could be due to a change in hormones. She could take a home pregnancy test, or go to the clinic and get checked.

    Goodluck

p.s. I never heard that it was good to go off bc pills. I've been on them for a while and none of my doctors ever told me that.

    That's why I'm confused.
