Okay I went to this garden shop and they have a bunch of seeds there like morning glory, poppy, and salvia...I know I've heard about being able to get high off these but I'm not really sure how to do it, do you get high from the seeds or you have to plant them? And how many do you need and whatever other information I need? Pardon my ignorance, please don't call me stupid for not being educated, that's why I'm asking so that I will know and not make a mistake of trying it the wrong way and wondering why it's not working... Also...about poppy seeds, I know they're supposed to be a specific kind, Papaver something I can't remember the full name right now, I have it written down somewhere but don't feel like looking for it...but yeah I'm not sure if it says that on the pack of seeds, also I know people mentioned about poppy seed 'pods' I don't know if they have those there...I also heard regular poppy seeds could work like the kind you buy at the grocery store (if they aren't washed so there is still opium residue on the seeds)...the poppy seeds they have at the garden store are not like that, they're in a lil bag and it's not a lot in there...so if anyone can tell me anything about that, it would be appreciated And with morning glory and salvia, if I'm supposed to use the seeds and how many and whatever you can tell me, thanks. Also if anyone knows any other plants that can be bought at a plant store that can get you high that would be good to know, and how it works...thanks.
High Denial..without being rude you sir must go do more research. www.erowid.org is the best place to start ( and end lol ). First bits of advice though...The seeds in the garden centre will indeed be morning glory and poppy but the salvia is almost definatly the wrong type of Salvia. Salvia is a huge genus and only 'Salvia Divinorum' will do what you are after! These are mainly bought as cuttings online although you 'may' beable to find some viable seeds online, somewhere like www.sagewisdom.org may have them. As for the morning glories, it is said that some shop sold seeds are treated with a chemical tostop people using them, I do not know if this is the case but it is best to buy from an online ethnobotanical store ( for instance the one in the signiture below or any other reputable online ethnobotanical store or headshop). The variety of poppy yuou are after is indeed Papaver somniferum of which there are manystrains. But you must grow them and the rest you can learn through online research. It is essential that you go and do proper research, these plants can be great..but they are powerful and can be dangerous if not knowledgable or if abused. Mmelody
Okay, thank you. I probably should have checked Erowid first, I don't know what made me come here first but oh well thanks for the information.
I can almost guarntee that the poppy seeds at the garden store are not the right type. Y'see, opium poppy is really illegal, so is growing it. However, there is an exception to poppy seeds, which are allowed for human ingestion. so, buying seeds at a garden store= you are trying to grow opium poppies, buying at a grocery store= you are trying to eat the seeds. Y'see how it works?
Eugene you are way off there...Papaver somniferum is a very popular horticultural plant and is widely sold. Mmelody
salvia you are not gonna be able to get at a nursery im quite sure, online headshops you will, and you need to either chew on the leaves or smoke it, but smoking it is where it gets crazy, really crazy, for 15 minutes.
