    hi guys,

can a doctor see whether someone smoked pot by checking blood for illnesses? or does one have to make a special drug test to find out?

Pot doesn't stay in your blood nearly as long as your urine, but no. They have to be specifically looking for drugs to find drugs.

Doubt it if you're a minor.

The doctor/patient confidentiality does apply with minors as well actually. So even if the doc did find anything your parents would have no way of finding out. I doubt the test would find thc in your blood though.

Your parent has to agree to the doctor keeping confidentiality with the child, otherwise, the doctor can tell them.
